a lot of that looks like it was made by some racist whites but then again, some of that looks like it was made by blacks trying to be funny... we disrespect our own history and then wonder why everyone else does.
wut history was disrespected here?

I said, and I quote: I'd rather use history instead as a measuring stick to characterize an entire race.

that has nothing to do with genetics or intellect, although I do believe that people of different races are genetically different, we're not "all the same" aside from skin color.
Well, if you believe characterizing an entire race is even possible, one could assume what you confirmed in the second sentence.

I would be curious to know how you characterize white people, and black people based on history.

whites = do not trust. [zero future potential for trust], okay to do business with, but only business.
blacks = do not immediately trust, (because of whites), [potential for trust] okay to do business with, okay to be friends with.

very simple

Sh*t like this is starting to become normal because we as black people are becoming passive. Look at this site sometimes, white folks will do something racist and there will be at least 2 black dudes in the thread defending the white people and essentially calling black people sensitive for being offended. Until black people are on a equal playing field in life, these jokes only serve to keep us down and make a mockery of us. They are laughing at us not with us..

This whole internet "ratchet" black culture will eventually be our undoing if we aren't careful...

I just watched last year as a string of "nikkas be like/bytches be like" memes and all of these black/"urban" memes got blogged/reblogged/liked/retweeted by non-black people and then getting mad when others were in on the joke. Well how do you expect to be taken seriously when others see you as joke?

The thing that gets to me is that the internet, with all of the information cointained within it, can be used to educate and uplift and black people are just content to use it as yet another entertainment vehicle.

Sometimes I think we (not us on here) en masse just want to be stupid and uneducated and not taken seriously. Because anything else would just break that cycle of familiarity that black americans have that somehow the epitome of blackness lies in the "hood". And lies in perpetuating all of the negative stereotypes imposed on us by others.

I'm not saddened at how lost we are in modern day America, but I am truly saddened and disappointed at how lost we WANT to be.

this is a direct result of not having knowledge of self, our people have no compass, no heritage, no beginning, our entire existence in this country has been as slaves and entertainment, and the average Black person sees slavery as the beginning of our history.

I look at all the other races who have history's they can take pride in, and they behave in such a way that preserves their heritage.

as long as we're making someone laugh or entertaining them, we feel accomplished and it's pitiful, especially when we're the but of every joke world wide.

Like when does this stop?

When does this reckless lifestyle stop?

When does all of this celebration of ignorance stop?

When does this lack of pride and respect for the foundations laid about by our ancestors stop?

This is what I'm saying about this "ratchet" culture eventually being the undoing of black people in America.

American culture is essentially bad for your physical and mental health. If you're not cutting yourself up with plastic surgery and starving yourself to look like models that you've been convinced to look like, you're killing your moms for insurance money to flash on instagram, you're selling drugs and risking jail just to try to keep up with the joneses, or your finding comfort in fast food pumped with 1000s of chemicals which on their own could kill you.

Eventually, this has to stop. I just want to stop seeing grown ass men and women trying to be at the club and be rappers and essentially compete with younger kids when younger kids should be looking up to them for guidance.

The fact that our own youth look down and openly disrespect their elders shows how little respect black Americans have for their culture and for themselves.

if the memes are low quality photos, that means they were either made by ignant nikkas, thots, or hoodrats :yeshrug:

Where's ya sense of humor? I for one refuse to be defined by any other man. Black americans miss out on a lot because we dictate what's appropriate based on other cultures. If u dont like the memes, keep it moving. Bhm is a pacifier at best. Embrace the whole black experience for what it is and do you.
