Halo has 5 titles and Halo Reach. Halo wars is a strategy game but when you build a franchise like that you can do that. Sony don't have a mascot or franchise to do that.

Because of variety. Playstation might mean uncharted to some god of war to some killzone etc etc for me it was socom now it's uncharted and tlou

Well here goes the difference. Halo has leagues and tournermenr sponsors so of course they will constantly release different versions. The demand is there. Uncharted is the same single player game it has been since 1. How many single game experiences you need of the same franchise??? Drake go to the island of Tahiti fight mythical beasts that his racist ass ancestors once had.

If its a great game sure. Im just saying even if a new ip ain't great don't overkill with criticism just lay out what went wrong so they can get back to the lab and improve

But Pissthots is doing that to Quantum Break Recore and other titles not even Xbox. It is a double standard

FF isn't niche though
Nioh okay
Nier is an action game
Horizon is a western style rpg
MLB is self explanatory


Playstation has always offered variety. When MS tries to do something other than shooters it fails because their fanbase doesn't support it.

Bloodborne, Nioh, and others aren't close to being similar.
