What @Amestafuu (Emeritus) is correct. There's nothing Canada has that we should be proud of - poor treatment of Indigenous peoples, being a bootleg version of the US, etc. Also, we have no history/ties here. We're here because of our parents, and in some cases, even they didn't have a choice in moving here; my mother and her siblings, for instance, were ordered by their parents to move here when they became adults.

Basically, you're from here but not really from here and I'm sure many 1st gens elsewhere feel the same.
