Whats with this acting black/white shyt

Ive noticed we consider people who act proper/politely as acting white. We talk shyt about black celebrities who act nicely and are friendly and fit in with mainstream america. So you think that if you become a celebrity, you should run around talking shyt, buying chains, speaking in ebonics, and avoiding white people? Thats one of the dumbest things ive ever heard. There is nothing wrong with acting "white", acting "black" involves being rude and narrow minded, atleast from what ive seen. Wouldnt be better and smarter to act white? If a black person makes their way in life, and decides to not act immature and follow the acting "black" trend, how is that a bad thing? We always complain about people not accepting us and seeing us as less attractive in terms of personality than other people, yet we encourage blacks to act this way

Before anyone calls me an uncle tom or whatever, I want to say that many of the traditional "acting black" traits are just plain stupid. If being black means not being studious, focused, and not speaking proper english, then thats stupid as fukk. If being black means you must be loud and talk shyt about everyone, thats dumb as fukk. If being black means dressing in vane things like gold chains, wearing baggy jeans and designer clothes, then thats stupid. And if being black means not associating with white people, and not being polite, then thats dumb as fukk.

My point is, why the hell are we holding ourselves back with these stupid ideals? You may argue that we're protecting our culture, but why is this our culture in the first place? I dont care what you say, but acting in counterproductive ways is stupid even if it means acting black. People think im "not black" because Im well mannered, dress modestly, and dont act like i have no house training. I understand we learn it from those around us and from society, but that doesnt mean its the way we should be.

Someone who doesnt talk to black people, cant relate to other black people and fears black people the same way your average cac does. Literally someone who forgets their black.

Now you have some people that are broke that assume anyone who speaks English like Carlton Banks is trying to act white but it goes deeper then that because they really havnt been exposed to the full gambit of black people outside of the ones they encounter in the mail room at their jobs, outside the VIP lounge at the club or in traffic with white hoes in their convertibles. The least uneducated of every race often set the rules for who is Truely (add race, nationality). The easiest way to get the respect of people like this is to beat the shyt out of them, smoke, drink hard liquor or mentor in poor neighborhoods.

Now dudes out there who go out of their way to avoid other blacks, talk down on blacks, the ones who agree that we need to get over slavery, etc; those are the ones who I label as acting and wanting to be white. Some say i act white, but i think thats bullshyt, they say it cus i hang out with a lot of white people (though i hang out with latinos too), I come from a suburb, an i pay attention in class. I will say i dont talk in classes with mostly blacks, but i didnt really talk in any classes except in white classes where i fukked around since white people are hella proper. If i was on some carlton shyt then you could say that, but i talked like most black people, i just didnt exclusively hang out with with black people and my cadence was definitely "white", but thats cus im from the burbs.

I see where the acting white thing comes from, i just think its stupid. Exactly, to act white i think there has to be some intent to disconnect from blacks. Im surrounded by white people here in asheville an im realizing im different from these kids. Might be cause of where im from, but most of these white people are weird af to me. Dudes are corny as fukk. My only thing with blacks i dont like is blacks mainly black girls ALWAYS talk mad shyt. I cant be around negative people. Im a man of the people not one race, i have friends of all races and of all personalities. But im still black.

ts your life. If you dont hang out with black people and dont have cadences/vocal tones of someone who is black, you will be looked at as a sellout or a lame until proven otherwise by people who probably arent going anywhere in life.
