very christian of you, name calling, that's what jesus would have done.

there are but how come the egyptians never wrote anything about the red sea parting? how come you do not believe the egyptians religion as truth, when they'd had religion WAY before the jews AND far more documentation, details, and an actual civilization as proof of gods greatness.

I dont think you know how christianity spread, or how jesus was written about 60 years AFTER he died, or how its kinda interesting how theres documentation on his childhood, and then fast forwards to his 30s, totally missing 90% of his life. lol.
The bible answers every single one of those questions. How can you be against something you know absolutely nothing about?

Quotation by Siddhãrtha Gautama (Buddha):
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions simply because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

I was a christian for over 15 years, and a very strict one at that. I think you should not make assumptions.

But you do understand if there was tangible proof then there would be know need for faith and the love for God would be forced not and not expressed in free will.

Sure, I understand that, but that's not good enough for me friend. I would hope that if God exists as you describe "it", that it would give me a pass for exercising skepticism and being a critical thinker.

I have no problem with people having faith, but I have a problem with people using that faith to make laws. Would you feel comfortable if some cult member who interpreted the Bible in a way he felt explained the world was going to end next week by God's hand in charge of nuclear weapons? I don't think you'd like to hear him answer a question by saying "I have faith" friend.

Both were written by men last I checked. The difference is one does not claim to be the truth and to ignore the others.

I've already gave you scripture that the Bible isn't of any private interpretation. Whether or not you choose to believe that is on you. fukk Buddha...

I'm not making assumptions I'm going off of the crap your posting. If you gave your life to Christ you should know the answer to the questions your asking
Because you're not smart enough to decipher what I'm writing doesn't mean it's crap. Others seem to be able to quote and understand what I'm saying quite effortlessly.

I don't believe in fables. Christ did not write ANYTHING in the bible, other men did, AFTER he died and quoted him years after (if at all accurate). Theology and historical facts are behind that. I also question why 90% of his life weren't documented, or why the Romans didn't, or why MANY chapters of the bible were removed by the church in the later centuries. It's an incomplete book from it's original form which should right away tell you that man, not a spirit, is behind it's mysteries.

Just curious, breh. Why were you a Christian for 15+ years if you feel this way?

WWJD, not say fukk buddha that's what. Buddha came 500 years before christ, AND preached to a much larger population which was far more enlightened and conscious than the desert dwellers of the middle east. If anything, had he claimed to be (which he didnt) God's son, I'd have actually believed that. His life was documented very detailed. He spoke many truths, and basically told humans to keep an open mind with everything (leaving evolution of the mind and consciousness an option) all while giving the east mortality (thats what religion was, the conscious awakening of mankind from barbarism to morals.)

Christianity barely exists in the East, Buddhism is their version of Christianity, but alas, here you are talking about fukk it.

I grew up, moved out and evolved. most christians here were born into, so that's all they know. They fear separating, fear doing any research on it, because the religion tells them that everything else but the religion is evil/lies.

If you can't even question the religion, why even have a conscious brain to begin with? might as well be a robot.

Militant atheists are rampant all over the internet. It's crazy because the way they act is the same thing they bash religious folk for. I can only sit back and smh because they seem so hurt. You just want to hug them sometimes and tell them everything will be alright.

Oh so you mean birth to your teens? I thought you meant 15 years of consciously following. My bad. Personally I don't consider a person a follower of anything until they question it. So I see no problem with questioning one's faith. After all, if it can't be questioned it's not really faith. :yeshrug:

I was raised as a Muslim but it wasn't until I was 19 or 20 that I would say I actually became a Muslim.
