I'm not 40 but when covid hit and I couldn't get haircuts, I figured that was the perfect time to grow my hair because most people wouldn't see my hair during the weird short fro phase that I don't like.

I feel like a lot of people did that. Plus a lot of jobs don't discriminate as much about black men having long hair like they used to, at least as far as I've seen.

I think it’s comfortability. For famous black people that is... You get to a certain point, you‘re established & don't care what people think. Your bank account is healthy, you got your wife, kids, a decent crib.. the world already seen you fresh, time to loc it up.
