Whats up with nas not being able to perform live

I thought Nas ripped it. He does seem to sometimes forget lyrics but I don't hold it against him.

His performances also vary greatly, sometimes he's crystal clear sharp with lyrics and other times he leaves small gaps while performing songs.

I didn't even watch the video cuz I was there. The only song I remember him fckin up was One Mic and Hate Me Now. BUT Hate Me Now was over the "Deep Cover" instrumental and it was AMAZING how the whole crowd basically did One Mic Acapella, lyric for lyric.

I saw females who knew the song word for word

I know at least four white chicks who aren't even into hip-hop like that that know the "One Mic" lyrics by heart. Go figure.

i'm the biggest nas stan on earth but son is awkwardly weak on stage... he screams when he's rapping, that's why he's always running out of breath (duh) and his memory is shot to sh!t, he's always forgetting.. this is why i'm glad him and jay aint do an album together, it would hurt my soul to see how terrible nas looked on stage next to jay-z, who has performed entire albums without forgetting a lyric or awkwardly running out of breath.

I saw nas at rock the bells in MD a few years ago where he and damien were the headliners. damien had a family emergency and couldn't make it, so nas brought out AZ, styles P, and maybe pharoahe (i forget) but nas/az reunion on stage and i was like


And that not saying all the lyrics shyt towards the end of sets I think is just how it works out for him. He ends up gassed running out of breath so he skips lines here and there. Also I think he feels like he doesn't need to say all the lines

We were pretty far away but that was probably the best hip hop performance I've been able to see

Even my homie who couldn't get excited about shyt all day (except raekwon), was to his set

Nas isnt the goat performer on stage. However, he does this thing where he pauses to let the crowd say most of the lyrics and when they follow with along it's dope, other times it looks weird. He also smokes way too much weed so he forget sshyt from time to time and when it comes to new records he isn't as sharp as songs he recorded years ago.

I have only watched the nikka once and that was around the time god's son dropped & it was same story then, dudes was losing breath/wouldnt' complete songs. Just saying for a nikka that considered one of the best dudes pretty average live

Nas has never been great performing live but most rappers aren't . Jay-z and Kanye are maybe the only two u can say that u got ur money's worth if u attend one of theirs shows.

These two have it: he smokes way too much weed. His breath control and memory are shyt--especially his breath control. He pauses like that because he gets winded.

see I disgaree. godson performs WAY better than nas escobar. ngga was 2 high 2 drunk then. eminem too (jus bringin up performers) I seen the ngga almos die on stage.

the most amped/best Nas I ever seen was Distant Relatives performance at Rock The Bells and then a seen the tour stop in Brooklyn.

I was there for his performance at RTB this yr, and he tore it down. He didnt spit every single lyric like Meth and Red, but he definitely did his thing and had the crowd MOVING

rock concerts are much better live IMO
