My proudest achievement: I cut through Dallas rush hour traffic in my 02 Sentra Se-R in record time
I got from O-City to H-Town in 4.5 hours.... on I 35 and I 45, i did nothing less than 100 the whole time
From Southside Dallas to The Woodlands me and a white 6-series, and a newer (at the time Saab) all pulled through at 103+

First 100 miles the BMW guy looked at me like, who is this try hard?
Last 150 miles: head nod, and let's actually get away with this

My car was auto, but this one lil button to turn overdrive off..... sheesh; the whole suspension would lower the car, and the bytch would grip like new p*ssy

First car: 1990 Seville; got to Dallas in 1 hour; homie in the 93 Deville was right behind me

I kinda want to see what my car do but I literally never find a stretch of highway that has safe roads, no cars and no cops. My absolute highest in pretty much all the cars I've owned is like 90. This G sedan is smooth at 90 :ehh: my other cars had me deathly afraid due to bad tires or worn suspension parts or just being a tiny ass car that couldn't handle the speed

The governor on high end performance cars maxes out at like 150-155 MPH TOPS depending on the tires available. On some of these shyt whips y'all talking about it would be even lower. If it came from the factory with all season tires, which is likely, then 130 MPH is usually the top end. And I doubt most of y'all even knew that let alone had your ECU flashed top remove the limiter.
um no my lexus IS F has a limiter at 172mph. without it it could probably do 200mph.

1. Most Ms and AMGs come limited at 155 and you can buy performance packages that will open that up. My CLS63 had the performance package (514HP, 465LB Torque) which was the only reason I could go over 155mph. The package came with 7 extra HP and the speed limiter/governor off. It's called the "Drivers Package" on the M5.

2. there's even an agreement (the gentlemen's agreement) between the big 3 (Audi, Mercedes, BMW) to limit vehicles to 155mph. Regardless of how much horse power it came with. The agreement is still in place but exceptions are made (for extra $$$ and only in the performance lineup). This was done to make the roads of the Autobahn safer before the German government stepped in and imposed a speed limit. Why nikkas on American roads (65mph speed limit) need anything close to 200mph is beyond me.

3. Having 400HP and being able to hit 200mph doesn't mean shyt as far as sports cars go. I'd take a Cayman (under 400hp and under 200mph top speed) any day over a IS F. It will spank a IS F stock for stock.

Exactly. I wouldn't do 90mph in some of the cars in here claiming 150 :russ:

120-130 on a YZF-R1 and friends old souped up Caprice (ex cop car). But, I live in Kansas so I can hit real high speeds on long straight rural roads. I'd never try something like that in traffic.

EDIT: I'd never try something like that again to be real. shyt is way too scary.
