Call me old-fashioned, but what's the point

Let's touch on the issue, you ARE bringing a child into this world WITHOUT a family structure. Now, I'm talking about ALL races/ethnic groups in general What's the plan for when the child comes? How will he/or she have a good foundation/family structure? You do need a village to raise a child In today's world (USA Wise) you don't really have that anymore Also, what's the point of having unprotected sex? It's reckless and you are at RISK of bringing a child into this world. I've made a pledge to myself to NOT have a child until I'm married My point, people should atleast settle down or marry before bringing a kid into this world Kids NEED a strong family structure. Those types of traditional values are needed in some way. I say this as a centre-leftist

P.S. I say this as a person who was brought up with BOTH parents. They were married for 23 years at that point. Now, they have been together for 40 something years.

It matters to me because kids need that STRONG family strong-hold. If they don't have that, then where will they get there values from? Also, the kids will have a single-parent household if the dude leaves. Having kids, then getting married is a COMMITMENT. If you AREN'T prepared for those responsibilities, then you should NOT be having sex.

I'm glad you brought that up. As of now, I'm watching this show on TLC called "30 Something Grandma". That's what inspired me to make the thread. To your point, it's crazy that young kids are getting pregnant. They are practically babies themselves
