Mutual funds with historical info pre-2008; better if near 2001 (9/11, in particular). Maneuver to get at least 8%-10% annual returns. Honestly, I'd be ok with 3 to 4%. With compounding, the ends will more than serve as a supplement to my other investment vehicles.

350k is if the market really does terrible, it's why I said it's the bare minimum realistically. If the market averages 10% a year like it usually does it would be closer to 670k. A few strong years during that time period and it's closer to a million.
