That Kobe Jordan Lebron thread got me thinking about how I'm at the point where I'm not really comparing these all time greats anymore and just enjoying watching the legendary moments while their careers last. Just looking to share some and hear some cool stories about great games and just all around cool experiences with professional athletes or whoever else.

I've seen some cool live games but nothing too legendary, but I'm excited to hear what the rest of the Coli brehs and brehettes have seen live...

My best (or worst) experiences at live sporting events:

Reggie Miller in 01 hitting the game winner with 2 seconds left against AI and the Sixers, when the Sixers ran the city and AI was one of the most popular athletes in the world. An acquaintance of mine whose father owned a ticket agency owed one of my boys a favor so he got us tickets the day of the game, extremely last minute (Sat afternoon game). Our seats were decent, but we ended up meeting this maniac dude who was a season ticket holder and ended up being Pat Croce's brother. We didn't believe him until he took us down into his section and told security to beat it. Overall great experience, even though Reggie completely ripped our hearts out and left the whole arena on the verge of tears. We still won the series, eventually losing to the Lakers in the Finals. I went to a couple games in those playoffs, but this was the only REALLY memorable one. Didn't go to any of the Finals' games unfortunately.

Saw the Heat play the Sixers twice in 2011 in the playoffs (saw Lebron about 7 or 8 times total live), which shouldn't have been shyt outside the experience of seeing Lebron, Wade, and Bosh in the playoffs, but in game 4 Lou Williams hit a 3 with 8 seconds left to win the game. The energy in the building was amazing. I knew the Sixers couldn't win anything, and I was a Lebron fan from his and my high school days so overall I was rooting for them to win it all, but seeing the Sixers steal one and the way they did it was so fukking cool.

Me and like 15-20 of my friends snuck into the Eagles vs Bucs NFC Championship game at the Vet in 2003. This should tell you everything you need to know about the Vet, literally 15-20 of us snuck in to the NFC Championship Game and just floated around to different areas of the stadium to avoid security. It was like 20 degrees out wind chill made it feel like 5 degrees, and the Eagles lost, but the overall experience was one for the books. Besides the fact that it was the NFC Chip, and we snuck in like 15-20 deep, we knew so many people that worked in there so we were all getting beer too. So we were underage with no tickets, drinking and eating just for the price of tipping our friends.

Also saw the Eagles vs Vikings on a Monday Night in 04, when McNabb and Culpepper were in their primes, and they had Moss the Eagles just landed TO that year, my boy was the ballboy for the Eagles so he got us tickets in the family section right behind the endzone, we saw TO catch a bomb TD it was a very cool experience. Monday night game too so it was even more hype. We had this lady sitting in front of us, starts asking us who we think the best WR in the game is, and of course we're all saying TO (as Eagles' fans who just signed our first legit WR in decades), a couple threw Moss in, then she hits us with a smile and asks, "well what about Marvin Harrison?" Of course we all had love for Marvin Harrison, 1 he was from Philly, 2 he was a great player so luckily none of us said anything disrespectful as she follows that up with, "He's my son." We didn't believe her at first, but then you could see it (same exact smile), plus she was sitting in the first row off the field in the players' families' section, she actually got the tickets from McNabb's mom. But that was an all around amazing game/experience too.

Unfortunately didn't catch any of the Phillies world series run live.

I know I'm forgetting some of the games I attended, and I'm sure some of these stories PALLLEEE in comparison to the stories some of you have, and that's the hope, I wana hear who's attended and all about some of the legendary sporting events of our time.

Not a game, but a pretty cool experience with Phillies players. (Stories like this are encouraged too, whether positive or negative stories about athletes. I'm sure people have some good ones with running into pros in public settings and shyt.)

In 2004, 4 years before the Phillies won the WS me and my boys, when we were youngbucks and in a perpetual state of attempted flexing, had all just got our first jobs-bussing tables at Capital Grill we were making like $700-1000 a week clear plus we were all hustling on the side probably making another $1000 a week give or take a couple hundred (we weren't fukking Nicky Barnes, but we had our nice little hustles going), so we were pretty comfortable as far as 18 year olds go. Instead of going to the diner on a Monday night spontaneous food run, we decide to act up and go to Smith and Wollensky cause they had like $25 cheesesteaks, and a couple other finger food things so we said fukk it instead of spending $25 at the diner we'll go treat ourselves at S&W and spend like $75 a guy, trying to flex but justify it at the same time.

Well when we walk in we see Pat Burrell, Chase Utley, Utley's dad and I don't remember the other player with them. Utley just got called up that year so we didn't even really recognize him. So my boy says let's send Burrell and his crew a drink I bet he buys our dinner, Burrell lived in the condos above S&W so he was a regular there we found out later. So we send them the drinks, Burrell comes over chops it up with us and offers us a drink back we told him thanks anyway but we weren't drinking, and we weren't, he goes on to explain that's Chase Utley and Utley's dad he was with and one other player I forget who. You could tell he was confused by 18 years olds in a top notch steakhouse just casually on a Monday night, we were all young Italian dudes, he probably thought we were connected, so we scratch our cheesesteak plan, and say fukk it let's go all in, if he doesn't buy it we'll have a great meal anyway. So we ate like fukking kings, Burrell, Utley, and the other dudes they were with stopped by our table on the way out to say thanks again and just show some love which was really cool, didn't mention anything else. 5 minutes after they walk out the manager comes up and said Mr. Burrell wanted to thank you again and said to eat and drink anything you want on him, even offered us a bottle of champagne. He purposely made the manager wait til he left to come tell us, which was really fukking cool and humble, I had a new found respect for him from that day forward. He had them send out this fukking carrot cake it had to be 2 ft high, no joke, it was still warm with vanilla ice cream on the side, at the time it was such a cool experience to be able to say they bought us dinner. Now I don't really care, it was cool seeing a humble and generous side to a professional athlete, but that's about it.

Share your stories about great games and cool experiences with professional or college athletes brehs and brehettes. Sorry if it's been done before I couldn't find anything.

11 Finals Game 4. Dirk flu game and LeBron scored 8 points.

13 Silva-Weidman 1. First time seeing the GOAT live and he got knocked the fukk out. Still in shock.

I slapped Chris Rainey in the face trying to jump the passing lane in a game of pick up in college. He was cool about it.

A medium sized story

I grew up in ann arbor as most of you know, but both my parents are hoosiers. Im literally 1 MI from the big house and went to hs across the street, but my parents had never been to a michigan game :mindblown:

When i moved to seattle, my first trip back i took my parents and sister to an indiana @michigan game :myman:

My dad is a big joker, and he rocked ALL INDIANA GEAR, and my mom michigan gear.

When indiana would score, he talked so much shyt :lolbron: :umad: :mjlol:..like, you think I talk shyt...?...i got nothin on my pops...but hes an old man and wasnt vulgar so people found it funny. When michigan scored he was like "donna....uhh...:hamster: lemme get that (michigan) hat....:sadcam: lemme hold that jacket " dude was flipflopping michigan and indiana gear every score :dead: :deadrose: The whole block of rows was laughing :laff: like in the redzone some lady yelled "TIME TO SWITCH THAT HAT!!! :russ:"

To this day, that was the best time i ever had at a sporting event, and they had a blast...ive been to countless games there but that was better than any ohio state or msu game, easily

Texas beating OU at the Red River game in Dallas a few months ago. :whoo:

Seeing the Niners win their first opening regular season game at Levi's Stadium Vs the Eagles last season feels like a long time ago. :mjcry:

A Kings game during the early 2000s was like a rock concert :wow:

Went to a Lakers game two years ago at Staples that was lit even without Kobe, Nash or Howard.

I was working event staff during super bowl Giants vs Patroits in 2008. My shift ended at halftime my best friend was working security so he pulled some strings and got me on the field. I was standing 40 feet from where David Tyree made ''The Catch'' :wow:

Lebron's my guy, but that's a legendary game even with him shytting the bed. NBA Finals Lebron vs Dirk. I'm envious man good for you.

EDIT: @Codeine Fiend Dream Team, I completely overlooked this part about Chris Rainey, that's a cool ass story too bro. How much more gifted was he than the average person? Only future pros I ever played with were baseball players, 4 of them actually, and none of them were noticeably better than the competition, but I'd imagine football players (basketball also) the divide would be pretty drastic right?

That's a fukking genius story man, I only went to one college football game and it was just the Penn State Blue vs White game and even that had such an incredible vibe.
