What's the film room consensus on Blade Runner?

The setting

Roy Batty at the end

The big plot twist surrounding the unicorn dream

I think Deckard is a human, personally, even though there's a good argument that he's a replicant. The story carries a lot more dramatic weight when viewed as the tale of a man coming to the grim realization that these replicants are more human than he is. That dramatic hook isn't there when you make him a replicant too. It makes sense logically but dilutes the point of the movie too much IMO.

I agree. Deckard either needs to be left ambiguous or is just straight up human. Him being a replicant takes away the gravity of the final scene with him and Roy. I don't give a shyt what Ridley says, Ridley Scott fukking up..[/spoiler

Could also say the same thing for mad Max 1, that shyt was terrible
