Some of y’all have let white people convince you that voodoo is bad.
Worshipping the ancestors was only seen in a bad light when they enslaved us & made us pray to white Jesus as a means to control us.
This isn't a direct response to you, but to this viewpoint. My family is Haitian on both sides. Most Haitians who don't follow Vodou didn't make that decision based on white clergy, Hollywood voodoo zombie films, or anti Vodou propaganda. Usually it's because they've had negative personal encounter or experience with a person who practices a corrupted version of the faith. For example, white people in this country don't practice and haven't practiced true Christianity. In my opinion they practice a corrupted version of that faith and their actions throughout history run contrary to the tenets of that religion. People are turned off by people claiming to Christians. Some of y’all have let white people convince you that voodoo is bad.

If your daddy is dead beat and you find out he fuks men would you worship him?
Freemasonry is entrenched in 'witchcraft' it's just not something us poor negroes are attempting to do a lot of powerful people in this country belong to masonic lodges. People like to analyze this stuff from the surface level when its way deeper than that, without looking into the esoteric principles of nature you can forget about physics or putting satellites into orbit, chemistry which evolved out of alchemy that started in Kemet is invaluable to civilization. Those with their abrahamic way of thinking are judging this stuff from a religious point of view instead of the scientific perspective necessary to comprehend it. There's different applications for different scenarios just as in any discipline of 'modern' science today. It's also important to look at the politics of it, just as recent as 2012 jihadist were destroying artifacts in Timbuktu, much of Africa's venerated manuscripts containing esoteric insight have either been destroyed or remain hidden away in the privileged hands of the few.
You aint lying thats a dope ass fukking postThis man gets it, wish you still post here breh.
I know its been 5 years, but do you remember where you read this? Links?I got crazy knowledge on this. Funnily enough I found myself researching this topic in the last few weeks.
I came across detailed accounts of Jamaican Obeah (Vodoo) From a man called Captain Ratlin who was an researcher, explorer, sailer of sorts who was basically there to witness the transition of the Akan/Kromanti Tribe from Present day Ghana yo Jamaica. He studies their customs, religion etc. In his writings he speaks extensively on Obeah its Akan origin.
He also gives accounts of the Akan origin of Obeah, how Obeah was perceived at that time in Jamaica etc.
I'll be brief because I could write pages on this.
Obeah as instrumental in the rebellions of the slave, the European masters outlawed Obeah in Jamaica because of this (still is illegal today)
We know not, the power we have
