I gotcha fam starting with these tapes:
This right here is a good tape if you want a glimpse of how DOOM came about (Grimm put dude on his unique style from his KMD days). If you want to get deeper from that EP:

This shyt here has b sides and random tracks from DOOM and Grimm.
Now if you want to listen to his KMD stuff:
Mr Hood was their first album when DOOM went by Zev Love X along with his brother Sub Roc and Onyx the Birthstone Kid. Its more De La Soul/Tribe/Native Tongue vibes, but they got raw and pro black during this next release.
Black b*stards was that business. This album was more gritty and grimy compared to Mr Hood, sadly it never got to see record stores because of the album cover
.
These albums can help you understand the origins of DOOM along with peeping Grimm who breathe life into DOOM when he was in the dark from getting dropped from his label and his brother dying.

DOOM really did birth a lot of rappers and even gave Ghost a style to run with for Supreme Clientele![]()
I really wasn't expecting all that Love for Madvillainy![]()
That's Wassup, that's a Dope Way to get Introduced to an Album. I on the other hand got on to MF DOOM as a Solo Act pretty late in his Career TBH. Mm... Food was something different to Me but then I went back and looked up his Discography band even his Work with his Brother before he got on as Viktor. I liked his Movement and just kept up with him but by then he was Solidified as the Villain, shyt was just Dope to Me.I think a lot of people got put on Doom with that album. I'm in Europe so was harder to know of/get some underground stuff back then. Also it was the years when I was listening to less hip-hop for whatever reason. I knew of Madlib and of Doom, but never really listened to them like that. But when I saw that Madvillainy cover...I just knew I needed that album. Listened to a couple of tracks and it was a wrap. Dude working at the shop that's now a big Belgian DJ and already knew what was up was like yeah that's the real deal right there.
