You mean the one with the instrumentals and rare demos on the 2nd disc? :skip:

:francis:I copped the funny looking cover one and was wild hurt by listening to it. While its that good old Operation Doomsday, but I am a purist about my Doom and I hated that they took off the "Hero Vs Villain" outro in place for the "I Hear Voices" track.

I wanna listen to more of his work but as a young teen, I was introduced/exposed to DOOM during the MM...FOOD and Madvillainy era back in the day.

I gotcha fam starting with these tapes:

This right here is a good tape if you want a glimpse of how DOOM came about (Grimm put dude on his unique style from his KMD days). If you want to get deeper from that EP:

:wow:This shyt here has b sides and random tracks from DOOM and Grimm.

Now if you want to listen to his KMD stuff:

Mr Hood was their first album when DOOM went by Zev Love X along with his brother Sub Roc and Onyx the Birthstone Kid. Its more De La Soul/Tribe/Native Tongue vibes, but they got raw and pro black during this next release.

Black b*stards was that business:wow:. This album was more gritty and grimy compared to Mr Hood, sadly it never got to see record stores because of the album cover :francis:.

These albums can help you understand the origins of DOOM along with peeping Grimm who breathe life into DOOM when he was in the dark from getting dropped from his label and his brother dying.

I am comfortable and I love you
Operation Doomsday has to be my favorite, the demo/12" versions of those joints are my favorites too. Viktor Vaughn is a close 2nd....the Madvillain demo is up there too. I prefer it to the retail, he sounds too relaxed and toned down. That 03-04 period he was RAPPIN rappin. Hell of a run from 99-04

Yeah once he started being lazy on the mic, I fell out of care for his later stuff:francis:. People slept on the M.I.C. like crazy during his 99-04 run:wow:

Probably Operation Doomsday. I had the subverse records version that I copped in 2001 or some shyt like that. I prefer the 7 inch versions of Operation Greenbacks and Dead Bent because they had more energy but I still love the album.

Nobody cared before he passed.

:francis:"You know dead rappers get better promotion" -Jadakiss

But to be fair, DOOM been on crazy hiatus after "Born Like This", plus it doesn't help that he left the States for good and just pop up on random albums. While I agree that folks running with his death like they was bumping his shyt on the regular, but trust DOOM heads like this koala felt that pain of finding out of his passing :mjcry:. DOOM really did birth a lot of rappers and even gave Ghost a style to run with for Supreme Clientele:wow:

You probably copped the reprint of the 2001 Subverse version :russ:

The 2011 reissue, or the one with this cover:

Is the definitive version of the album imo. Its the 1999 version on the first disc with every bonus track, demo, and instrumental not found on Special Herbs you could want on the 2nd disc.
