Physical media takes up too much space. That's why I'll never buy another disc again. Thousands of movies, hundreds of TV series all on a couple of 2 TB HD's. :win:

How many of those movies and tv shows have uncompressed video and audio with extras?
I rather have the blu-ray disc and I can just rip them if I so ever choose to do so.
Like books, I like having a little library.

To each his own but to me it seems like you're spending more money, and taking up more space on some shyt you're just gonna throw away in 5 years and replace with the next thing.

Where you keep 4 movies, I keep thousands and what you paid for those 4 movies I blew on weed and watched a buncha them bytches.

Hundreds of ebooks too, maybe eem a g of those or more, all in that same little space. Quickly transferable to the device of my choice.

I just don't see the point of paying for something you can get for free (no popo). :yeshrug:

I don't see me throwing away my blu-rays. If I wanted a movie just to see what it is about or thought it was just ok then I probably would just download or stream it. I buy blu-rays of films that I REALLY like. Also, I get a lot of them on discount sales or with coupons.

The next physical media format looks like it's going to be 4K, which will be a niche format because you'll need an 80" to see the difference in PQ. So if you don't have a mini home theater in your house then you must likely will not be interested in 4K.
Not every DVD title is out on Blu, hell DVDs are still being released so I think blu-rays will be around longer then some might think.

In all honesty, you are missing out not watching movies in it's highest quality or hearing it's lossless audio.

Just signed up to make a list too LOL

The only physical Blu-Ray copy I have is the 1st Season of True Blood when it first came out.

The rest are downloaded Blu-Ray movies I get from various torrent sites. Then I stream it from my TV and watch the movies.

Best Buy be having deals that they dont advertise in the store nor do the employees know about. They had a four day sale where a couple of boxsets were 24.99(Thats when I got Ben-Hur) just recently.
