Started buying Blu-ray, now I needa buy 4k Blu-Ray 
How the hell the UK get True Romance in 4K and we don't
I believe the standard is only 1 disc, so it's all region free with no region locked blu-ray with features, just have to deal with the ugly ratings logos on the cover
I give my dad the blu-ray when i upgrade a title to 4K. i used to sell them on offerup, but i'm too lazy now. I have a stack to give to him the next time i see him

I’m from the VHS Era. I’m content with blus.
With streaming taking over, I wonder if 4K is the last of physical media. If that’s the case, I’ll jump on 4K in another decade.
I am too! I only have a handful of Blu-rays, but I just got this ps5, and it’d seem silly not to?4K is nice, but I’m not starting over on this shyt again.

I mean, if your blu ray collection is really low, just jump on 4K. If you have the TV set, might as well.
It wouldn’t hurt, you can’t go wrong with either honestly. For me, there’s like a select bunch of directors who I just have to cop the highest-quality physical format for. Like Nolan’s TDK. Other than that, I’m fine with 1080p on older releases and standard blu-ray still offers lossless audio to make me happy at the end of the day.

it's worth it for the older movies shot on film. i'd say early 00s and older. it's like seeing them for the first time.

Yeah the Double Indemnity in 4K announcement yesterday was cool.
I was lucky and able to snag one of the special edition copies of Bela Tarr's Satantango and Damnation that Arbelos put out. Satantango came with a piece of filmstrip (can't decipher which scene came with my copy, potentially the opening scene). Amazing restorations. Hopefully they put out Werckmeister Harmonies soon.
