This is not a new "formula" for the Lakers. Kobe has played like that plenty of times this year with the team not getting positive results and his teammates not making their shots.

Kobe has played like that on and off throughout the year and they still lost a bunch of those games.

The troubles the Lakers have had hasn't been on any one player, everybody has been fukking up (cept Hill and Clark).

nah.. playing pass first.. he didnt do it that many times....

he made passes. but now he was playing pass first.. looking for the open man...

at time he passes.. for the first 2 quarters.. before he chucks 25+ shots....

but that was the second time.. he was looking to get all his teamates in the game...the whole game.

Because dudes were missing wide open shots....Games like that are when he HAS to start throwing up shots just to keep the Lakers in the game.

And I've always been of then mindset that I don't care how many shots Kobe puts up, it's the TYPE of shots that are important. Kobe constantly taking tough long jumpers is not good, but if he can get his mid range game going he's usually fine.

The larger point is that every single way people have said the Lakers "should" play on the offensive end has been tried and resulted in losses. The wins they've had have all been because they locked in on defense.

Doesn't change the fact that the main difference was dudes were making their shots. Like I said he's played like this at various times throughout the season and they lost a lot of those games.

They had been missing those wide open shots since pre season, and during that period Kobe was taking under 15 shots a game.

But again you'd have to actually watch most of the games to know that. Hell look through the Lakers thread and you'll see dudes complain during the Pre season about guys missing wide open shots.

Dwight simply doesn't show up to play if he doesn't get to score or get to show off his wack ass post game.
