Thats what I always bring up with these international players and kats straight out of high school. These kats got miles on them once the are in their early to mid 20s. Then if they ain't workout warriors thats gonna be an issue once they hit their 30s. Also it is European culture to eat, drink and be merry as well. So that plays a role too in his conditioning.

But yeah I never thought luka would be this kat that has a long career playing at an MVP type level in his early 30s and mid 30s. One its rare and normally them folks that do that make it a point to have their bodies in tip top conditioning from a young age.

He's probably just out of shape, which is kinda surprising since he was just in the bubble. You would expect the out of shape players to be players on teams that haven't played since March. On flip side, while Luka being a pro since age 15 explains his advanced development, people don't talk about the mileage on his body. He probably has the body of an average 27 year old pro. He may be a shell of himself by 30.

Here the thing though, in the 4 years before the draft, Luka only played 200 games and avg. 20 mins per game. I'm willing to bet that's less mins then most players in his draft class during the same time.

edit: fukked it, I looked up some Sr. in his draft class. He played less mins than Jevon Carter and Devonte Graham for example. Same as Gregory Allen. And you bet the players who were in high school the 4 years prior played many many more mins than him. Also Real Madrid has a great medical staff while most high schools don't.

It might be clever on his part not being a workout warrior and putting even more miles on his body. He and harden might be going the jamal crawford/ andre Miller route and just hooping themselves into game shape.

Both had long careers and weren't exactly workout warriors
