How is he not a “real” Laker?
It’ll be interesting what the roster looks like in the next 2 years. Luka is generational, but there’s about 4 others either in their primes (Jokic / Giannis / SGA) or emerging (Wemby) who are generational too.
Winning one title, let alone multiple without a talent monopoly is tough.

Luka already having health issues, the high-usage game he plays and having the miles he does is concerning.

Keeps their tradition of white superstars in Dallas. The team isn't a dumpster fire, so they can be strong with Kyrie/AD/Flagg/Christie etc. Natural rivalry with LA and Luka plus the Spurs and Wemby.
Actually that makes too much sense. They'll make sure he ends up on the East Coast since the West has Luka/Ant/Wemby etc. East needs more star power. Brown/Brunson/Tatum don't move the needle like that.

He's naturally very chill/humble, so there's no "edge" to him.
Stars didn't want to play with Dirk even though he was hella unselfish.
Luka has "swag", talks a LOT more shyt and is more marketable. Been a Mavs fan since the Three J's, and Dirk will always be the most popular non-Cowboys athlete in Dallas. Luka however...has more star power and is easier to market.
AND.......Dirk was a young star when Shaq/Kobe/Timmy/KG/AI/Bron/Melo/DWade/Yao/TMac/VC etc., were all young stars. Impossible for him to stand out in that era.
