Honest question, what are you supposed to do with an opponent that simply wants to lay on the ground on top of you. Maia has no real intention of stand up fighting. Woodley is fighting the way he's supposed to given the circumstances.

there are women with better hands than him. dude is too one dimensional, if all he's got is raw takedowns and you shut it all down - only thing left is to beat his ass before you fukk up or he gets lucky.

UFC fans always obsessed with fighters taking risks, if you have a clear lead and the opponent is scared of you it's okay to coast, keep yourself from further endangering yourself and grab the W.

Playing it safe in MMA isn't even remotely close to the same as playing it safe in boxing. Too many variables. It'd be one thing if Woodley the best defensive fighter in the world too but that's clearly not the case.
