  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. As refreshing as the first one was this one was a huge let down. If not for Yondu's death I would call it trash.
  • Ant-man and the Wasp. Again, the first movie was funny and fun and way better than you would ever think a movie based on this character could be. The second was weak, the action and premise of the villain just was blah. The after credit scene is the best scene in the movie.

  • Iron Man 3
  • Avengers: Endgame. I have no desire to ever watch this again. The Russo's using a tired plot device and not redeeming the Hulk is unforgivable.
  • Birth Of a Nation. Don't know how this warranted the hype it got at the film festivals. Maybe because it was another slave piece which gets those who have white guilt something to feel better about themselves. The cinematography was poor and looked like something you'd see at the college level. While historical based films do take liberties, it's something that's unforgivable when you veer too far off course. Was it worth him being blackballed?
  • The 300 sequel. Don't know what I was expecting tbh. Best part was Eva Green's titties.
  • Notorious. Another biopic that was half-assed and made to look like a TV movie.
I can go on and on. Good thread idea.
i didnt BOAN, but i liked it. that ending was what fukked me up cause the shyt was just kinda weird.

I think everyone who seen Notorious has said this! lol

KingPin fun fact - one of my homeboys auditioned to play Big.

Waves. There’s a good movie hidden in there somewhere. Tried to do entirely too much in the first half. Then the second half just felt flat to me. Good acting and cinematography but it’s all for naught because the execution of the story.

This might be controversial but I think both 12 Years a Slave and Selma are mid.
  • 12 Years A Slave was weird to me in that it was about the main character and Lupita's plight only, the other slaves were just like in the background. And when he finally was given back his free status it was like some kind of triumph while I was like, "What about the rest of the slaves?!"
  • Selma I don't have a specific criticism about but I didn't really see what all the hype was about. It seemed like a movie that was pretty by the numbers and exactly what you expect.
