Yep only way i ever been able to avoid them is using andis t outliners. Shave isn't as close but no bumps.

Quoting for emphasis.

But I'll also add that I have a prescription for benzefoam to get rid of them when I do get them. Try and find some products that have benzoyl peroxide in them because they flatten the bumps.

Also op will have to get nice with tweezers if it continues

I never get razor bumps. If I do, it’s because I was rushing, and even then, I may only get one or two bumps. What you do first is, use some clippers or liners to cut off the long/thick hair. THEN you put warm water on your face, some shaving gel, and shave in the direction your hair grows. Make sure you’re not using a dull blade.

After you’re done, wash your face. Dry your face. Then put some witch hazel on a cotton ball and wipe over your face again. After a couple of minutes of your face drying, put on some aftershave or moisturizer.

Use a safety razor. As a Bantu black male our skin reacts poorly to regular razors. Also wash your skin with a black specific cleanse and give it a break from shaving.

Trust me breh, get a blade setter. I'm a big fan of it because for a time I was frustrated with how I couldn't get a close shave with the Andis.
ON THE MONEY 10 Sec Blade Setter
This shyt makes your shave so smooth and close. :blessed: I'm a big fan and proponent of it now.
Yeah i am aware of them been cutting my own hair since i was an adult so im decent at setting the blade aligning it and using the right angles when cutting but i might try it.

YOU DUDES MUST HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ELECTRIC RAZORS.

A GOOD ONE IS GONNA HIT YOU FOR 300 BUCKS
BUT THE SHAVE WILL BE DAMN NEAR AS CLOSE AS A RAZOR
AND NO BUMPS.

to PREVENT razor bumps

buy 2 each of these

and one of these

buf puf facial sponges......cheap kid's electric toothbrushes..one slotted set of tweezers cost is about 15-25 total

razor bumps are caused by our very curly facial hair hooking and growing into our faces...the key is to constantly loosen the hairs

use one buf puf and toothbrush in the shower to loosen hair and dirt around your beard area with whatever soap you use

use the other bug puf and toothbrush to loosen hair and dirt from beard area when it's dry

rotate the dry and wet products.....keep them clean

use tweezers VERY close to your skin to pull out very stubborn hairs that refuse to loosen

I can guarantee you that this greatly reduces or eliminates the bumps..because it addresses the root cause of the bumps.

if you try this and it doesn't work to reduce the bumps, I'll ban myself for 2 weeks
