whats his fighting background anyways?

I am proud to say that Michael Jai White is a former Kyokushin fighter. It is also the first of quite a few styles of martial arts in which he earned a black belt in.
Read the article below for further info..

The Kyokushin Karate Roots of Michael Jai White

by Sandy Howlett

- Kyokushin karate — the fighting art founded by Mas Oyama, a man who battled live bulls, occasionally lopping off their horns with his knifehand strike — has a reputation for toughness, including full-contact sparring with minimal safety gear.

But that never scared off Michael Jai White, a lifelong martial artist and actor who’s part of the Victory Dojo & Fitness family. In fact, Michael Jai White has always enjoyed the physicality and discipline of the art, calling it his “savior.”

“I had a lot of angst growing up, and martial arts just felt natural to me,” said Michael Jai White, who holds black belts in seven styles. “I enjoyed fighting when I was a kid. I used every excuse I could to fight.” He began studying shotokan karate at age 7, then switched to kyokushin under *Shigeru Oyama.
The latter was the art in which he received his first black belt while still a teenager. -

*interesting side note, Soshu Shigeru Oyama was also MY instructor's teacher, and is often regarded as one of the most feared Kyokushin fighters in our history. Osu!

The Sweet Science

Dolph is a 3rd or 4th dan black belt in kyokushin and was the European champion 2 years in a row, hes had full contact fights. All im saying is he's no slouch and Id be interested to see who would win that fight. I know MJW is a very skilled martial artist but Ive never heard (not saying he hasn't just havent heard about it before) of him actually being in any type of full contact fights.

The fact that Randy Couture is one of the Expendables makes that statement likely untrue. Couture has been in there with the best Heavyweights and Light Heavyweights and been a champion several times. From what you guys have told me about Dolph he might be able to beat White too.

please don't confuse traditional martial arts with MMA
couture's MMA record is pitiful by the way, but he's a hall of famer

it takes many years to master a martial art you can be an MMA fighter in 3 years of training and turn pro

He wasn't wrong about Bruce all things equal or close to skill wise that 100 pound weight difference would be too much.

Randy Couture's wrestling would keep him from getting embarrassed though. Wrestling translates well to fighting period, street fighting, mma or wherever in a one on one situation. If you can dictate where the fight happens you generally will control how it ends.

Brolic... Alcoholics
he not wrong

No one thinks Floyd Mayweather is beating Vladamir Klitchsko, so why would a prime Bruce Lee beat Michael Jai White?

From what I read about Dolph Lundren, I dont think Michael Jai White wants those problems tho

Yeah... I heard that swedish meatball was the truth back in the day. I also heard great things about nMike too.

the same argument he uses for Bruce Lee applies to Lundren too.

Lundren has him by 5 inches and probably 60-70 lbs.

once you're over 200 pounds weight doesn't matter as much, which is why heavyweight class has no limit

mike jai white would wash dolph, he's in way better shape for one
:dahell:

put a 200 lb breh in there with someone thats 250-260 and see if it doesnt mean much.

Not everyone has Tyson KO power.

And idk how you can say Lundren is not in shape.
