There’s no indication that there was a joke. It’s posted on Twitter and Instagram. She even talks about that old ass phone in the picture.

I honestly don't know why you're still arguing this in 2020.
We've seen pictures of her as a kid, in high school, in college, as a starter journalist, and up to now.
If people still wanna believe that's her let them believe that. At this point they're either trolling or dumb.
The Coli is still a place where a black woman can take a picture in a bright place and be accused of bleaching, then look their regular skin tone the next day and people say the bleaching "wore off".
