Y'all gotta stop :mjlol:

One show was the hottest thing in wrestling in '96/'97, still running hot in '98, and by 2000 was doing so bad that they took a week off to revamp and came back and got even worse. So you got about three years of quality and two years of rapidly declining trash.

Raw has seen some bad times and some awful segments/matches, 2007 probably being the worst, but I'd say they had more good years than bad. shyt, IMO Raw wasn't even that good until '96-'97. WCW definitely lit a fire under Vince to do better... but it doesn't even make sense to compare a show that's thrived for 28 years to one that ran for 5 and a half.

raw had way more bad years than good.

i'll be generous and give them '93, 94, even '96. im being generous here.
then you have '97-02. i'll even give you '03.

give & take a few more odd years, and thats still less than half of 28.

If you actually go back and watch the last Nitro they ended on the highest note possible. The company was rebounding creatively.

From Hogans turn to its closing they probably had about 1 and half bad years worth of television. That’s not bad at all. It was just so much bad stuff at once it’s lived in infamy.

also i think alot of people wanted the WCW to have a bad product so they focus in on that timeframe.

same thing with TNA. its been around since 2002, but people act like that 2011-2013 window is their entire history, when its really just 3 years out of 19.

Ernest Miller and Scott Steiner made it watchable even if unintentional

I stopped watching Nitro for a while until somebody in school told me Booker T won a he belt at Bash and I started watching nitro just because Booker t was champ and he said he will be a fighting champion.

Raw has fukked up so.much..Shelton Benjamin, ran Mickie out, ran AJ Lee out, pushed the Bellas... the Authority angle went on forever, too much Roman, Cripple H, Cena, DX, Charlotte, Blandy, Spirit Squad..terrible nonsense.

Nitro because they based EVERYTHING off the NWO. Nwo started adding too many members then once they split up into 2 factions it became horrible. You can't base the entire company off one stable and that's where they failed. The NWO era was a gift but also a curse. A curse because they didn't develop any other GREAT storylines.

Ok they had Ernest Miler and Heel jericho and they ruined both storylines. They did nothing with Miller. And Jericho went to WWF.

Nah..Raw sucked in 94, 95. Most of 96. Trash in 93. All that Bret and Shawn pushes made me sick to my stomach. I did like the Narcissist theme though and I thought Tatanka was cold at first. WCW had Ron Simmons beating the unstoppable Vader..they had him run.through Sting at the time. Then Rick Rude took over with the infamous Dangerous Alliance. WCW was good at several intervals.

2000 nitro had irs share of misses, but 2001 until it shutdown was actually pretty solid and there were more people that felt like stars. Nitro in terms of prominence because its not in business, Raw probably in terms of quality because its been declining consistently it feels. I still have certain people and segments i like, but there just isn't enough for 3 hours without a bunch of filler. Really when I complain about the WWE product its mainly Raw I'm talking about because Smackdown and Nxt range from passable to really good, I rarely find them to be God awful

Nitro got taken off air, but atleast 2000 is so fukking bad it's memorable.
I think the last genuine RAW moment was Shane coming back.

Nitro in its last year was only 2 hrs, had a great main event scene, and so much fukkery. Raw has fallen more, just on how skippable it is now.

The hell you mean "naw", you sayin' the same thing I said in the post you quoted :russ: Raw wasn't good until the bottom half of '96 and really '97. Scattered things here and there between '93-'95 but as a whole, shyt was wack. I liked WCW a lot more in '93-'94, both WWF and WCW was trash by '95 tho'.

All the WCW stuff you mentioned was pre-Nitro. Thread is about Nitro and Raw... let's stay on topic :mjlol:

this is false. it was never all about the NWO. the only people who feel this way are WWF fans who casually watched WCW because of the NWO.

nitro had the best mix of variety of all the major wrestling shows.

not to mention, nitro was already the hottest show in wrestling long before the NWO even started up.
