What was the most disappointing thing about Dragonball Z?

Disclaimer. This thread is for the people like me that were disappointed by the series and stopped watching at some point because of how ridiculous the show became. I stopped watching around the Buu saga when dude kept getting stronger and stronger no matter what. It was just too much.

Anyways, being older now and rewatching the series, I'd say what's disappointing is the fact that Goku went through everything he did in the Frieza saga and STILL DIDN'T KILL FREIZA!

Bro.... this man is the first Saiyan to go Super Saiyan, throws a Spirit Bomb that took like 2-3 episodes to charge, and you mean to tell me he doesn't kill him? Meanwhile Trunks kills Frieza in less than a minute. Mind you Frieza was strong enough to destroy the whole planet. So that must mean Trunks is strong enough to destroy the whole planet too right? Idk, I think that was just disappointing considering everything Goku went through. If I was Goku and seen Trunks kill Frieza so easily, I would've just fought Trunks on sight on some fukk you and anybody that loves you, shyt

The fighters dragged on way too much....I haven't watched anything Dragonball related in a decades but I remember the fights taking so many episodes to finish

I also never understood how Goku was suppose to be a badass but he was always dying or needing others to help me

Gohan not becoming the focus of the show after the Cell saga

the Buu saga wasn't as interesting as others but it wasn't disappointing like Gohan being pushed to the side after his epic level up against Cell. I mean after that people were talking about him being stronger than Goku, and none of the intrigue was captured on with him; just became another supporting character in the tales of Goku.

Also, the series lost a lot of the humor that it had in Dragon Ball and early on in Z.
Again, Resurrection F was the first time I got humor and action at the same time.

They didn't allow Adult Gohan to swag out.

Akira Toriyama wanted to end the series with Gohan defeating Buu. But the fans bytched about it so he brought Goku back.
