Neither of AJ's title runs have been good.

The first one spent way the fukk too much time on James Ellsworth, and the current one has not had one meaningful feud. The Shinsuke feud got cartoonishly stupid with all the nut shots, the Joe feud downplayed the history they have together to spend more time on AJ's wife, and the Bryan feud never got off the ground.

AJ hasn't main evented any PPVs and doesn't even main event Smackdown most nights.

And his big dream match with Nakamura was underwhelming in both build and match.

A 6 man WWE Championship at Fastlane isn't sh!t to write home about.

The only thing of note during AJ's reign was his feud with Samoa Joe and by that point most were calling for a Samoa Joe win.

AJ deserves a memorable title reign but this wasn't it.

The brand split doesn't help. He's twice now been stuck in feuds that have long since died for multiple defenses because of the trimmed roster.

He needs to unify the WWE and Universal Titles and defend it against a consolidated stacked roster on RAW.

Yeah, AJ's reign is proof that a reign ain't shyt without compelling challengers/feuds. The Nakamura one was hurt by the completely random and unneeded Nakamura heel turn, and then not just dropping the belt to Nakamura, the dumb build to the last man standing match, and then not pulling the trigger on dropping it to Nakamura.

The Joe feud was basically the same thing.

Basically, he's been fukked by them having to string out challengers with four matches in a row, and then getting cold feet on a switch when it makes sense to do one.

.........does every question about WWE basically end in some variation of the writing/creative failing the wrestler?

:hhh:. fukk no.

They would just give the unified title to Brock and now nobody on either show would have anything to fight for.

They're not getting cold feet. They want AJ to hold the title for a year and probably surpass Punk's reign.

Exactly, it's so glaringly obvious how their execution of the brand split hurts programs. The same thing happened with Jinder Mahal feuding with Randy Orton
for 3 consecutive PPVs. And then people wonder why they killed brand split PPVs.

Until they fix the brand split this shyt will continue to happen. The only whole division is the Cruiserweights.

Virtually everything in WWE comes down to writing/creative/vince failing the wrestler. They do not maximize their talent.

They're the Golden State Warriors playing sub .500 ball.

Let AJ unify the titles and finish his reign on a strong note.

Roman's 3rd run.
The 2 AJ Matches :banderas:
The Match with Rollins at MITB :win:

It's ashame it had to end. Him getting popped and suspended threw the entire brand split into disarray.

Ambrose was never suppose to win the WWE Championship and take it to Smackdown.

They need to course correct and let AJ bring the title back to RAW.

Brock's 2014 reign is probably an all-time great though.

Completely dominating Cena at Summer Slam.

The incredible triple threat at the Rumble.

The great match with Roman at Mania and cash in.

Coining suplex city. It was fantastic.

I would have liked one more title defense against someone other than Cena thrown in there.

He should have had a defense at Survivor Series.
