Mine brought friendship, partnership, mental/emotional support, guidance when I’ve lost sight of the bigger picture, presence when I’m not around to do something, constant laughter, a source of a different perspective, and she’s a awesome mother to our child…. And sometimes she brings stress because she’s super cheap/frugal. Similar to what my own parent brought each other.
I see a lot of arguments about gender roles, online. Honestly just ignore all that shyt, and just be. Then hopefully you’ll find somebody doing the same and y’all can just “be” together. All the guru’s and whatever-sphere are speaking empty bullshyt about how to gamify partnerships based on biology, mental stimulus, and two people wanting to be together so bad that they do what it takes to stay together. Nobody is more of a prize than the other, nobody needs to be leading or following. A team is only as strong as its weakest link, why the fukk not be equal. Just be, and enjoy each other.
