True. Though not to the same efficiency. Having Kittle and Reed out there was very much going to disrupt LB corps of opposing teams. Especially sending them both out on routes designed to stretch the center zone, then just hitting a receiving back on a wheel or letting Samuel/Aiyuk eat on a slant in that laxed space across the middle. Dwelley isn't bad, but he isn't going to pull coverage to that degree.Dwelley is nice tho they can still run two TE sets
Best way to fix the issue is finally hitting one of those deep throws to Bourne that they throw at least once a game. Just hitting one of them this week would do a good amount just to tell teams that it's available and there.
Gonna be interesting to see who comes out and excels in the offense with that wide-open space for someone to step up. Besides Mullens, I mean. Personally, my money is on Wilson Jr.
I'll say this... damn this team would do well to have a good, old-fashioned hard-nosed RB. Needing to scheme ways to pick up a 2nd-and-1 or a 3rd-and-1 instead of just being able to bully it forward is, I know - a hallmark of zone blocking, but damn being completely without a bruiser back there for certain situations is glaring. The hardest runner on the team for those situations is a WR ffs.
