Q will never make music with this much substance again

Jay Rock is more or less the same as when he started
Dont nobody give af bout SZA
And Zaywop has dropped like 2 songs since Cilvia Demo

Control System was a fluke...rest of his releases go from average to garbage with only a few great songs.

dude from the Sub Zero dvds must be :wow: at what he created.

A fluke ? What ? :pachaha:

Dude dropped a lot of great songs out of that project. These Days was just too unfocused and negatively experimental

blame interscope for Q and i guess you didnt hear his two mixtapes before setbacks, you can tell he improved while being on tde. Habits is still his best project though

ab soul just made a trash project

jay rock had contract issues with strange thats why it took him so long to release too and 90059 was still decent but yea FMH was better imo.

First off fukk TDE

Secondly, he's defintiely got talent, I liked these days even tho it wasn't his greatest showing and I don't think he was in the right position to do an ironic album.

Control system was dope and when he dropped nibiru with jmsn, i just knew I was in for some 3rd eye, metaphysical, conspiracy piff :ohlawd:....then it got shelved :mjcry:

I literally hate that label for basically keeping everyone muzzled until "they're up". Only verses i get to hear from q and soulo are on mac miller projects, while they have basically drowned rashad's career :smh:

I understand what you're saying. I honestly think Solo is the best "MC" on the label Control System was a great album, Schoolboy is the best "rapper" Habits and Contradictions is a top 3 TDE project, and Kendrick is the best "artist" and "lyricist".

The problem is Punch and Top Dawg is trying to milk Kendrick for everything. It's nothing wrong with it but it causing them to lose stock and steam in there other artists tremendously. Isaiah is a great rapper and SZA is a better artist than a lot if R&B cats.

TDE needs proper management because they really don't know what to do with their artists.

Jay Rock situation is completely fukked up. I don't even want to go into detail.

But Solo is probably screwed at the moment

I just re-listened to Control System. There are definitely some gems on here but I still feel it's not as consistently dope as his previous releases.

However it does have one of the greatest songs he's ever made on there.

Rock got issues with TDE?

And yea, that label is actually more antagonistic to people who are fans of the whole black hippy/tde pre - GKMC. They've ignored us with their stupid way of releasing projects, dudes need to understand each of those artists has a ceiling, some higher than others, but there's real fans out here who want music from these guys. I'm highly annoyed by that label

Soulo won. :yeshrug:

Yeah but, if you let your career and output take a considerable hit because of a woman, is it really a win?

He went from (in certain aspects) the forefront of TDE to someone who Top and Punch are annoyed by and only tolerate (at least whenever they get a little aggy with each other on Twitter)

Around the Long Term 2 time Ab was clearly 1B to Kendrick's 1A in terms of who they were pushing the hardest, then:

1. Q cleaned up his act and focused, pushing Ab down a peg
2. Rock got his label shyt out of the way, grinded, and pushed Ab down another peg
3. Isaiah came through and got a little buzz, pushing Ab down another peg

All of this while Soul's music was getting more and more weird, obscure, weed driven and trippy, and all of this while complaining and asking why he wasn't next up.

There was a point between Control System and These Days where I felt like Ab wasn't getting his fair dues, but if you look at this like a business (which it is), he's done nothing to help his case.
