Why complicate this or make this a science experiment. There are categories for people of mixed identity which is mulatto quadroon octoroon etc.
Even if I did have white ancestry. it goes back so far there's no reason for me to try claiming it.

There's a huge difference between recent admixture and admixture from a hundred years ago during slavery.
The vast majority of African Americans still resemble their ancestors when they arrived here 400 years ago. so there's no reason to acknowlege admixture from 100 years ago.
The people who are obviously mix more than likely have recent mixture and they have their own designated category such as mulatto,octoroon and quadroon.
Are you trying to change the face of black America?If not then why do you insist on making these people black when they are clearly crossbreeds.
