She sees herself as Black, so she is Black. You don't hear people saying they're 75 % Black 25 % White, triracial, multiracial, why should biracial kids have to? Because it's an easy percentage to put into words?

Because a lot of people are getting butt hurt over how someone looks or one of their parents' being non-black. The girl identifies as black just like a lot of mixed people I know including my ex-GF who had a white German dad. One of my friends has a white grandfather on his mother's side and you wouldn't know it. He is so dark that his nickname growing up was Coffee, yet according to some people, including you he should classify himself as mixed. He gets mistaken for DMX all the time. He doesn't like white people and is more militant than a lot of dudes on here.

Race is a social construct based on skin color. in this case the people being discussed are far from Black.
They are quadrants or octoroon.
Not just anybody can be Black. It takes two parents of the same race

If we are going to follow the racial construct (excluding the drop rule) the individuals being discussed are not Black. they can pass for a multiple different races.
Are you trying to change the face of black people? Why is it so important to attach the Black label to people who or racially ambiguous? as a matter of fact. she could claim Black one week then the next month claim something totally different.

I'm 60-75 percent black and 15-25 % white and 5-10 Native American, what am I? Mind you my skin color is medium brown and I have nappy hair.
Race is a construct, there is no magical threshold you reach to be objectively "Black" or "White"
She isn't even that racially ambigous, Blacks with two Black parents can have green eyes, high yellow skin, and wavy hair.... maybe they had a white ancestor 3-4 generations prior but they are Black. Can they claim White if they want too? Of course but at the moment she identifies as a Black person and is in a relationship with a Black man etc...

Next year or 10 years from now she could start to embrace both sides of her identity or even perhaps claim a different race.
