Potential side thread but I think the horror genre is overall primarily aimed at women
I think horror is no doubt aimed at men. the phallic symbols, women always in danger, copious amounts of nudity and sex.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is also a show that people would assume i never watch. The reason i actually started watching it was because i had been watching real life crime shows all day and all that killing and stuff was making me depressed, so i turned on Netflix to watch something funny and the rest is history.
