What SHOULD WWE’s course of action be now that AEW has wild momentum? Draft? Go w/ youth? Legends?

There was actually an angle behind this. Gable was so chicken shyt heel scared of this guy wrestling his heater, so he stole his luggage in hopes he couldn't wrestle without gear. But the babyface don't give a fukk he's for the people, he went out there and wrestled in boxers and still gave it his all. Unfortunately Otis also didn't give a shyt because he's a big monster, so squashed him with the quickness under 5 minutes.

How are Montez's promos? Does the WWE give him some freedom?

I legit see nothing they have in their back pocket that could be used to counter the series of signings and "moments" that AEW is about to have in September and October. Now, I don't believe that it will be THAT meaningful but it's been legit more than 2 decades since WWE had a perception battle from wrestling fans and the mainstream. Cokeboy having nothing to counter it is very intriguing to me.

I mean, the only game changer they have as a possibility is Rock and that dude can barely squeeze his schedule for a Mania match and MAYBE a couple of TV dates. And that is IF his schedule and current partnerships allow him to even step foot inside a ring.

Everything is either a very short term patch or something that will need time to build and reap rewards. The latter is also very fukking difficult because we know WWE is allergic to competent booking for more than 1 act at a time (right now is Roman) and a lot of times is not even that

The only other scenario would be if the sell the company, that would obviously be a momentous occasion that could put every eye on WWE again. For better or worse.

They don’t have to react in any way lol. AEW can get all the momentum they want, WWE will be just fine. There’s a whole laundry list of what they could do to make their tv show better but that hasn’t been top priority for over a decade for them. It is what it is

Maybe as much as New Day did. He's great on the mic though, and has great charisma. Here's a recent promo (timestamped) from him. I think he would really benefit from a heel run to show everyone just how much swagger he has:

He’s not going to out mark AEW. They’ve built a fan base of smart marks that feel appreciated and catered to. Thats not a bad thing, thats a great move by them. WWE can’t play in that lane. What they can do is start creating good television on their part understanding that people will change the channel. With Punk’s arrival they’ve got to look at that like Ja should have when 50 dropped “Wanskta” and got some buzz. They’re one hit, or in this case one storyline away from being a problem. If they can’t see that that’s on them, but you’ve got a top guy there now who’s Vince level petty enough to stay up all night putting the pieces together to make it happen.

But it’s God honest the truth. Every time I tell my boy about a WWE release he just shakes his head and says “They just keep feeding the beast…”

They got Punk now, Danielson is on the way, Adam Cole too, as well Bray Wyatt…

Cody smashing the throne with the sledgehammer along with Punk’s promo was in a way a declaration of war. The line has now been drawn in the sand. We in a new era my negus..

This is sports entertainment (WWE) vs. Pro Wrestling (AEW).

The only way this is gonna wake up Vinny Mac is if/WHEN AEW announces a special Monday night show. And you KNOW they gonna STACK that card with a PPV caliber matches. And IF/WHEN they beat Raw in the ratings…shyts gonna get spooky.

And IF/WHEN that happens I can’t wait to see how you WWE marks spin it..
