We can't have this post without mentioning Ice Cube and Ghostface.

If you listen to Ice Cube's first 3 projects he pretty much covers the plight of a young Black male in America from an underprivileged area, even if he wasn't necessarily underprivileged himself. Everything he talked about would end up being relevant to my life in some way. He started dumbing down on "Predator", then just seemed to run out of creative inspiration after that.

Ghost's falloff is just uncomfortable to talk about, I tend to ignore a lot of his newer music in order to preserve the image in my mind.

Prodigy and Wayne are good choices though.

Nah Cube was a beast on Westside Connection.

I can never say Wayne because he still to this day can outrap most nikkas when he feels like going in his bag.

The answer is definitely Kurupt, from Dogg Food to damn near anything after that is was just shameful. (Streetz is a mutha was dope af though)

Raekwon.... prodigy dipped then came right back up, cam never really fell off he just should’ve never stole jr writers flow, wayne don’t think he fell off just stopped caring.
Whaaaa? I haven't heard Raes most recent shyt but he definitely got better as the years went by. It was his beat selection that fell off a cliff for a while.

Any answer other than Prodigy or Kurupt is wrong :francis:

Prodigy has spit verses that I consider to be straight up epic.. how do you go from verses like “Hell on Earth” to his verse on this joint

Raekwon? What the hell are you talking about? He's been making dope music for decades, even his mixtape game is on point, go play some vatican mixtapes

Prodigy lost all ability not even just lyricism.

Wayne bounced back

Camrons issue is his shytty flow. Never adapted.

Never listened to kurupt after 1999

Wayne was on top in 2011 and then played out in 2012, crazy fall off

everyone went from Wayne and Drake to Drake, 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar in one year

Wayne a basehead so I don't think he belong on this list...

I'm surprised he can put two words together

All I know is Royce has had the biggest improvement. He was always nice but now he's breathing rarefied air.

I really want to say Jay-z but I know that won't fly, lol. To me 1996-1997 is the most skilled, complete MC ever in rap, he was an alien...post-98 Jay-z has had his moments but he is nowhere near the caliber he was spittin wise, imo.
