No u didn't just say Kurupt was never that good
Kurupt is a dope MC overall but personally I think his pen is overrated. He had a razor sharp flow and a dope vocal tone. He knows which beats to attack, and which to let breathe. But the lyrics themselves aren't that strong.

We can't have this post without mentioning Ice Cube and Ghostface.
If you listen to Ice Cube's first 3 projects he pretty much covers the plight of a young Black male in America from an underprivileged area, even if he wasn't necessarily underprivileged himself. Everything he talked about would end up being relevant to my life in some way. He started dumbing down on "Predator", then just seemed to run out of creative inspiration after that.
Ghost's falloff is just uncomfortable to talk about, I tend to ignore a lot of his newer music in order to preserve the image in my mind.
Prodigy and Wayne are good choices though.

I mean if all you talking about is lyricism it's hard to "Fall off" to begin with. You don't just forget how to rhyme words. As someone else said eminem shows flashes all the time. He can go there whenever he wants. Same as all the other greats.
