Dude what?

You need to be under 200 pounds at 6'1 or it's unhealthy?

The fact that you are arguing with me over simple biochemistry and basic nutrition indicates that you must be an American.:mjlol:

Stay at 230-250+lbs when you are 60+ years old and tell me how you feel then. You can be this weight and look like The Rock but sooner or later it will catch up to you.

Just because you are lean and that doesn't mean you aren't throwing off your biochemistry if you are overweight because your body is working that much more harder to keep your organs in check -- hence the shorter life span. Then couple that with the strenuous nature of exercising and you have a recipe for disaster in the long run since it has been proven for humans to be a certain size for optimum health. Now, I am not your father and I cannot sway your opinion on the matter but if you continue being over a certain height to weight ratio (BMI) for a prolonged period of time no matter your physical appearance you won't live long without health complications.

You can always try your theory on yourself as an experiment:mjgrin:. Just make sure you put it in your will to show me your results:lolbron::mjlol:

If you don't believe me, stop reading things off of the Internet and ask your GP.

Why are you so angry? Lol

Wasn't arguing with you. This is the first time I've ever heard anything like this so i was looking for you and others to clarify.

Since my goal is 6'1 and around 220-230 and all

I'm not angry, I thought you were trolling and this is the Coli afterall:ehh:

The BMI isn't concrete as like I said before it depends on your height to weight ratio. Because being overweight with either too much muscle (in terms of body weight not aesthetic appearance) or too much fat/visceral fat are both unhealthy in the long run.

The BMI is just to be used as a rule of thumb as long as you are in and around the healthy range for your height to weight ratio you'll be more likely to live into old age with minimal health complications.

You can be 220-230lbs but I wouldn't advise being that weight past age 40 because that is when your body significantly starts to break down and therefore your body will be working twice as hard maintain itself. Factor in your genetic predisposition as well as your living environment and that could worsen your life span.

The BMI is just a calculation from trial and error for you to achieve optimum health in addition to a an adequate quality of life. You could be a 160lbs man and live well into your 90s and 100s and be skinny as fukk, looking aesthetically unappealing and have a sub quality of life just based on shytty notion of what society expects us to live a happy life and have opportunities open to us to get good jobs, good looking/happy/ wife/friends etc, or you could live within the healthy BMI range for yourself well into your 80s. Or, you could maintain a weight above your healthy BMI range though aesthetically pleasing and even if you are lean at like 220lbs-230lbs you'll greatly risk greatly shortening your lifespan since your body will be working even more harder to maintain your physique. You'll get all of the ladies, look fantastic but you won't live as long if you maintain over your BMI range.

I'll reiterate, you can do whatever you want with your body but being that size has been scientifically proven to not be wise if you plan on living long. Though one could argue that we only have one life to live and live that to the fullest, or we all die one day etc so enjoy your life but you can certainly do that at 185lbs-210lbs (which is what I believe).

It is all up to you but it is not advisable to be over your BMI after a certain age. So you could achieve the look that you desire but just know the consequences that come with it.

@Jimmy Two-Times™ good looks on the info. I’ve been working out and was able to get my weight up to 185, but damn that site showing my bmi index is 27.4. :beli:

Like I said the BMI scale is only a *general guide.

The BMI wants you to have optimum health which is really skinny in reality. People that are generally smaller seem to live longer which is why it indicates that and nothing more. In the green for your BMI ratio you could live well into your late 90s-100s or in the yellow you could live into your late 70s-80s and in the red you could live as long as the yellow range but you are more susceptible to an earlier death.

If you feel good and get a private health check done periodically like every few months then your BMI is healthy -- for you as everyone is different.

Kevin Oak for sure. He's probably running a light cycle but I can get there within 4-5 years lifting how I am now.

EDIT:

Definitely trying to get to at least 8' let alone 10' :whew:

The best thing that ever happened to me was my weight belt blowing up two weeks ago :youngsabo: I've been doing all of my lifts raw (:dame:) outside of needing a wrist strap to accommodate for sweat since I don't have any chalk.
I told you man! I never started using one when I began lifting in 2012. I just don't know any different.

If you achieve that look where will you find clothes that fit. At least he's found a way to profit off of his physique, you'll have a massive back and no shirt to fit

That's not a good look. :dame::whoa:

He can't even move his arms properly with all of that bulk.:mjlol:

In reality when you go to work you'll look like this...:francis:

Oak is sitting at 270-280 and he's probably on some gear. You posted Ronnie Coleman who was between 300 and 330 around the year. and John Cena just doesn't know how to dress. I'm naturally trying to hit sub 10% @ 230 which will take A LOT of work but will also keep me from Koopa Troopa suit status. Plus there are plenty of brands that cater to bigger dudes without looking like clowns. Try again friend :youngsabo:
