Kawakami speculating that management doesn't see RT as a pressing need (after hearing Lynch's conference) and that we'll probably draft for the future.

He thinks we taking a DE in the first or we are trading down :dead: :sadcam:

Whole article https://archive.ph/0g22c

Basically, we acting like things are gonna be the same as last season. I think that's a huge mistake but whatever, it's almost impossible to get to consecutive SBs after losing one so :manny: :francis:

If this turn out to be true that would be malpractice. That would be 2 drafts in a row we didn't seriously address the offensive line. This regime loves to make difficult solutions to easy problems.

It's been pure luck since most of the first and second rounders were busts their whole tenure.

Which is why I don't mind them trading those picks

I would argue if anything we need to trade up. I think the first 10 tackles are legitimate starters. Like in year one. I would rather try and fail than take a project. If we got a veteran like Tyron Smith I wouldn't care as much but Colton McKivitz cannot be our starter next year. Nice guy, good swing tackle but he is what he is.

Well that makes too much sense sir. They won't do it because they are retarded. Probably would pick the wrong tackle anyway.

If we can land Amarius Mims or Kingsley Suamataia I would be cool with either of them. As I think we can get either them within the 20-23 range.

Kawakami stopped having any insider info since Baalke was given the boot. He's just speculating in the exact same way we are.

This coaching staff hasn't proven it can develop an Olineman or a corner taken high-ish in the draft yet. Banks is probably the only guy you could argue and even then I think he isn't exactly what they expected and he's probably not getting an extension.

The way FO and coaching think, they think doing what they do best got them to where they are, which is a perennial SB contender. If anything that Trey pick, such an offbrand pick for them, being an utter failure probably cemented that they should stick to what they do best.

Doing what they do best would've meant trading for a proper starting RT though, not staying put with Colton and throw a coin toss with a mid round draft pick that will be redshirted and truly evaluated in year 2 or 3.

These fools let another WR sign a big deal before Aiyuk. They're not gonna trade him and they aren't going to let him walk next season. They need to just get this shyt done now and save themselves the cap space as it would be cheaper for them to extend him than have him play under his current contract. If I was Aiyuk, I'd almost play out this season and become a free agent barring injuries, since we play this game every season with out players.

In a lot of these situations it is the player side that wants to wait out and let other players get the bag to up the brick price. Especially with all the WRs getting the bag so far.

saw some mocks having xavier worthy to the 9ers. if worthy is the pick then i imagine aiyuk will be traded.

i'm hoping we take an OT, DL or DB tho. worthy could be a nice weapon in this offense but we have bigger needs.

we will find out tonight. if Aiyuk isnt moved before or during the draft, he stays a Niner. Dont see a scenario where they'd accept a future draft pick while crippling the win-now year this season severely
