Pay attention to the slang and fashion not the music. Do they have trap houses in Somalia? It's looks like a parody of drill video.
I never argued that Black Canadians co-opt Black American culture. So I don't know why you keep messaging me with that straw man.

You answer that dumb ass. We all agree there is no culture just immigrants. Unlike AA's and Caribbeans who are not immigrants and had there shyt erased and created new stuff from what is available.

:umad:

If you're talking about Black Canadians, then they're descendants from Slaves that escaped America and got into Canada via the Underground Railroad. So no, they're not co-opting anything. All you guys did was show a bunch of rap music, slang, and "trap house" being elements of the culture non-black Americans are leaching off of. Absolutely pathetic.

So selling crack is black american culture? :laff::laff::laff:Man o' man.
Did you know that black Americans created the most popular music forms in human history? You are on hip hop board. American black culture. That shyt must hurt your heart. Every time you log in to enjoy this forum just remember that it's purely possible because AA's blessed the world with one of the most influential musical forms in HUMAN HISTORY.

You can find it in literature, music, television, business, etc etc. The most recognizable one would be the annual Caribbean festival. African American culture and Caribbean culture does have a lot of influence, no one can deny that. I would say Black Canadian culture is a melting pot of different cultures.

We want examples of Canadian specific Black culture.

Why would this make my "heart hurt"? Do you see how dumb you guys are? First off, I am an American born with dual citizenship. I happen to live in Toronto (and I used to live out West, Fort Mac to be specific) for work. I never denied the amount of influence Black Americans have on Canada, and the world. But again, all you guys did was cite music, and you did so again. Not literature, not business, not politics, not even jazz or blues, but rap music. That tells a lot about you guys.
