Bruh funny thing is, I didn't even know my fellow black peoples felt the same about mayo until I joined this site
I thought I was weird for telling the cashier no mayo on my sammich. I only tolerate mayo when I'm eating potato salad

Whatever im just telling u where the stereotype literally came from. As already mentioned potato salad is a black stable and generally has mayo in it. Nobody on the planet eats mayo by itself... and I don't see how putting it in a sandwich is any different than putting it in any other dish. But im starting to believe this discussion is silly.Or it could just be a observation perpetuated by those that noticed majority of the black people around them don't like plain mayo on their food? You live in state (NY) where you observe black people using it regularly, I grew up in a state (Louisiana) where plain mayonnaise is hardly ever used so I would assume most black people don't use it or like it. It's like me assuming most black people eat chittlins and pig feet, it's just a silly generalization based on what I have grown up around in Louisiana. But I do see your point about the movie, I just don't think everyone was influenced by it, especially when I consider the release date of the movie.
You are also from New York? lol
It is definitely a silly discussion. And by plain mayo, I mean taking it out of the jar and applying directly to the food. Taking mayo and mixing it with spices, etc., turn it into a completely different thing, regarding the taste. Also mentioned a page before, the silly stereotype was definitely around before that movie released. I mean, think about it, the line from the script had to come from somewhere and the movie was written by a black man. But I can sort of see how the stereotype could become popularized nation wide by the movie.Whatever im just telling u where the stereotype literally came from. As already mentioned potato salad is a black stable and generally has mayo in it. Nobody on the planet eats mayo by itself... and I don't see how putting it in a sandwich is any different than putting it in any other dish. But im starting to believe this discussion is silly.
Mayo on a cheesestek in philly? I thought that was a cali thing. They dont serve it that way at any of the big cheesesteak spots ( and fukk cheezewhiz (i never seen that til in philly) provolone/white american or nuttin)
imagine tuna with no mayo, what kind of living hell is that?mayo sets off some sandwiches nicely, and making tuna and potato salad its good. but by itself, its prolly one of the most disgusting substances on the planet![]()
they put that on roast beef sandwiches up here. shyt is GOATI put mayo and bbq on my chicken tenders at the same time
You relax I was over-exaggerating for my own personal lolz.relax.. its a thread about black people liking mayonnaise theres no need to be this upset
dipping your fries in mayo>>>>>>>>>
Yea bro.Are you from philly?
For instance what is a "big cheesesteak spot"? A place tourist go to? One of the 3-4 places ppl from Philly tell tourist to go to so they safe (larrys, ishkibbles, jims,Max's)?
And they serve cheesesteaks how ever you order them ...they are made to order unless you standing in line with 100 other tourist and just getting that assembly line shyt
@ thinking ppl out here eating cheesesteaks on dry ass bread
And nobody from Philly eats cheese whiz on they cheesesteak man. That's strictly some tourist shyt.the majority of local papi stores etc don't even have cheese whiz
