X3 full of goofy shyt and never really comes together but I always been soft on it because the Angel scene and Wolverine having to kill Jean are really well done.

How should they have done your movie? You deserved more than just one :to:

I wasn't a fan of Logan killing Jean in the end... IMO that should have been Scott because of the history those two characters shared. Wolverine is a dope character, but that was never his moment.

@My Girl is Bow Legged is right about James Mardsen having committments to other movies during the time of the filming, but Cyclops as a character was too important to to the Phoenix storyline to leave out. They would have been better off either recasting him or saving the Phoenix plot for another movie and focusing strictly on the cure.

Kelsey Grammar killed the role as Beast though. That's one of the only nice things I'll say about X3.

They keep messing up Dark Phoenix outside of the comics.

The thing is you need to set that character up: Jean Grey got to be given more attention rather than a side character to make her role really felt as the Phoenix and have true emotional impact on the X-Men. She's literally a day one, 1963 X-Men #1 original, staple character.

Additionally the Phoenix Force is literally top ~5 in pure power (especially from the newer power ratings). They never have captured how truly ridiculously OP it is - it's literally is an abstraction/force for the writer whenever they come up with a new character.

Y’all think the MCU reboot is going to be worse than the Fox movies?

I was pumped up when Disney bought Fox out but looking at the current leadership and (lack of) direction, I don’t know anymore :patrice:

Disney is too interested in checking off diversity boxes now to be good anymore.
They were knocking it out the park when it felt like every character was torn off the pages of the comics.
now they are going to make changes to characters in order to suit a political agenda.
Oh this team has mostly male characters, lets change the gender of some of them.
Oh the female character doesn't have powers and just uses kung fu? lets power her up because we don't the men to be more powerful than the women.
Oh not enough black folks on this squad, should we bring in Bishop? Nah lets just make jubilee black.
Oh all the characters are straight? Let make one of the black ones gay.
The end product looks so different from what you were wanting to see that you lose all sense of nostalgia.

The Last Stand for me is a bad movie to finish out a Trilogy; it didn't know how to end it; but it wasn't a bad movie by any means in terms of Ultra-Bad.

Dark Phoenix was the worst, as it was clear Jennifer Lawrence was there to collect a check and leave; she knew it would be shyt, and basically everyone acted like it knew it was going to be shyt; waste of McAvoy and Fassbender, especially after all that character development in the previous movies.
