What is the better show....The Boys or Lovecraft Country?

It’s good cinematography but the story is too all over the place to the point that it feels like they have no idea where they are going. The love craft books were a collection of different stories and this show is trying to put them all together as if they were one story while at the same time making their own story within that.

Why would you compare the two shows? They're completely different. That's like trying to compare Devs with The Mandalorian.

Havent seen the Boys.
But Lovecraft Country is random as hell.
Im only on episode 4 and Im scratching my head still trying to figure out how the show is at the current point from the 1st episode.
Im gonna finish the season, but Im not sure I will continue after that.

seems like its an attempt of deconstruction of Lovecraft's racism, yet unfortunately lack his writing ability
The Boys by far, should be getting way more praise and attention than it has right now. May just be the best executed show at the moment. They just make everything count, no filler.
Lovecraft is interesting but I feel they’re trying to do too much at one time. So even if your enjoying you still come away feeling a little lost after each episode ends.

Obviously The Boys is easier to watch, it's just a superhero TV show. It's fast food, violence and jokes. It's a whole lot easier to make that show watchable than a sci-fi show about racism in the 50s.
I don't think I'd even compare The Boys with Watchmen. They're jumping thru hoops on different levels.
I'd disagree with that. The way The Boys deals with rape, religion, racism, white nationalism, militarism, terrorism, drug abuse, corporations, and flat-out shytty parenting.. without hitting you over the head with it, was no easy task. Easily could've been tired and forced.
I find it all well constructed tho and more enjoyable than Watchmen, which i felt was alright but a bit try hard with the exposition. A bit vanilla. And yea, i read the graphic novel long before ever watchin the movie.

Yeah, you would think it’s an “easier” watch.. just because it makes it’s point clear and often hilarious and sensible with source material to build off of..
You would think it’s just a “Superhero” show just because it has superheroes despite there never being any show like it period
and nobody compared anything to The Watchmen... thats you. Truly two totally different premises and I would even understand even if Watchmen was considered a better show by some..
But Bottomline is, Lovecraft is not. It’s a jumbled mess that focuses on man assrape with only 2 really good episodes... so far
