popularity doesnt mean sales. When will people realize this shyt? This is a digital where 80% of people download and rip music. And the hood dont buy albums. Ross dont give 2 shyts about sales. He making 100k a show and has other investments. fickle ass fans bytch about sales more than the artists does. Ross dont give a fukk and he aint sellin out to white folks.. The only nikkas bytching about ross not goin plat are a bunch of insecure jeezy, shady, gunit stans who wanna critique everything ross does. Like i said in the other post, you cant ross lacks lyricsm or subject matter cause he has songs that say different that i listed earlier. Authenticity? lol Yall know ross was friends with kenneth boobie right? You know their are gov documents that link triple c's with the boobie boys right? The same way ross been repping boobie since before port of miami and no one from the bobbie boys has exposed ross for lying. nikkas want ross to fail so bad. Just accept the fact thats hes gonna around for a while

Conviction.

Like someone said before, he always sounds like he's on autopilot. I don't FEEL what he says. Even if he actually lived the life, I still wouldn't be able to get into his rambles. Even when he tries to get deep, about kids in Haiti, it feels; phony, forced, and thoughtless. Odd how anyone can be both forced and thoughtless, but :ld:
I don't even listen closely to his words anymore. I know he'll never say anything important or interesting. I think the last time I heard something interesting from him was when he was talking about how New York hip hop beefed so much and how the South viewed it. Even though it was brief, how he explained it felt deep and realistic. I was like :ohhh: "He really felt that way about hip hop unity":

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX3iSs9px24#t=41s"]Rick Ross - Valley of Death - YouTube[/ame]

To be honest, if he turned himself into a name dropping rapper or a current event rapper, he'd have people listening closer. He'd definitely be a far more interesting lyricist. He just doesn't rap about things that exist in this world. That has nothing to do with his persona being fake. What I mean is, he's simply not relate-able, while on the mic. His ear for beats, is what keeps me listening though. Dude knows how to make classic sounding music.

yet still he goes to south africa all the time as well as other black countries. He even went to jaimca, bought out the whole store and fed the townspeople.
Ross do more for his own people than alot of these selfish ass rappers.

so to say his words are forced, is bullshyt. This nikka has food drives all year. He donates blood. He has scholarship advancements for kids all year long. He buys school supplies, shoes, clothing, backpacks, etc for underprivileged kids all year.Ross is just a genuine dude who likes to give and help people out. Alot of these uppity ass rappers dont even give back

One line...really. I'm talking about songs that actually talk about the shyt not some Scarface fantasy drug kingpin world where a nikka walking on extinct tapestry and buying jars of diamonds. There are only so many ways and times you can tell a nikka you got money.

Yep.

All the Money in the World sounds just like Rich Off Cocaine, which sounds exactly like Push it, which sounds just like Amsterdam, which sounds exactly like Freemason, which is almost identical to In Cold Blood. fukk it though all them tracks i just named sound EXACTLY like Ten Jesus Pieces

That and he's not smooth like Biggie was with the flow. He's also not that good at making songs for women besides that "Here I Am" song or whatever it was. Even in that he wasn't smooth with it. His flow is the same on damn near every song. And we all know women are the ones who buy CDs.

true!

And your seriously trying to critique Ross after only hearing his first two albums? Thanks for exposing yourself as a CAC :comeon:

And sadly he really wants to be taken seriously in this thread. Why can't CACs just admit that they just dont like Ross? Why lie about listening to him just so you'll have a reason to be in EVERY THREAD about Rick Ross?? Why can't fans of Ross ever have a discussion about his music without non fans polluting the thread just to tell u 30 times how much they dont like Ross?

I swear Ross detractors make more threads about him than his fans do

For me personally, its the connection, ross just dont connect wit me. When Jay came out rappin bout the dope game, he gave you the good, the bad, and the ugly...not just the money cars and hoes. When T.I. came out wit Im Serious, he told stories about the Ups and Downs of the trap that you could see thru his lyrics like on "Still Aint Forgave Myself", Jeezy also talks about the Good and Bad side of the streets. With Ross all he talk about is the Glamourous side of things and that aint how the game go in real life. He never really tells personal stories of his friends gettin killed, or locked up, or robbed. Ross doesn't make himself "Vulnerable." But ross does make some good "temporary, just for the moment music tho"

Man these fukkin ross haters kill me with these threads Nobody cares about sales man. I swear theyre so delusional. Artists dont get shyt off sales. The record companies make the big bucks. Ross can make 100k a show and do other bisness ventures. WTF would this nikka be worried about sales. The only thing ross is lacking to get sales is a huge white fan base. Be real. The only reason jeezy can sale more than ross is cause he has a bigger white fan base. Ive been to jeezy shows and ross shows so I know . Ross aint no wack ngga and hes proven it time after time. SO nikkas need to chill. Ross is above average AT WILL AND WHEN HE WANTS TO BE. And ross got a shyt ton of tracks where he either shows emotion or tells a story

pirates
Tears of joy
mafia music
mafia music 2
freemason
pirates
ashamed
ice cold
hold me back
its my time
pray for me
ambition
all the money in the world
live fast die young
amsterdam
sweet life
mecca of the trill
holy ghost
magnificent
usual suspects
maybach music 3

And i guarantee you the same nikka talking out their ass's are the same ones who aint even heard a 4th of these tracks yet still they think they can critique ross shyt. Ross has variance and hes proven it. The only thing i wish ross would show more is consistency. He'll spit some hard lyrical shyt ona track like pirates, usual suspects, tears of joy,etc . Then he'll turn around and do a track like "911". What happens is the anti-ross stans hold ross accountable and make judgements based off tracks like this but they completely ignore the meaningful ross tracks like i named in the list. Ross has the lyrical skill and his beat selection is some of the best. Matter of fact ross is the one who put justice league n the map and they admitted it. Now you got a shyt ton of rappers tying to copy ross's musical production formula. Ross is lyrically above average when he actually tries. He just not consistent at it like his was like in 08-11. He saves his best bars for big projects because hes on so many tracks from stalley, meek, wale projects as well as other colabs. Its a smart move to save your best. Just look at how he does when hes on a nas track.
