His verse on "ambition" is what he needs to do more often.

I think the best rappers have a conversational approach to their flows. Ross is just rappin at you.

That and he's not smooth like Biggie was with the flow. He's also not that good at making songs for women besides that "Here I Am" song or whatever it was. Even in that he wasn't smooth with it. His flow is the same on damn near every song. And we all know women are the ones who buy CDs.

A high Urban Fantasy score..I mean if there was an Urban Fantasy draft I don't think suburb cacs would make him a top 10 pick..

Ross problem is he is just too consisten. As crazy as that sounds. He has a great ear for beats and he rides them flawlessly, but it's like he makes the same songs over and over again. He pretty much has the same monotone flow with no real emotions attached to his lyrics. I mean don't get me wrong the man be spitting fa real but he need that emotional type shyt more often. Listening to GFID i was like it's a damn tight album from beginning to end but it's just like his last albums to me. U pretty much know what u gonna get some banging ass Justice League beats among others some fire ass guest experiences and Ross coming through with his quick 16 or 32. But let's be real trap music doesn't sell like that and Ross is probably happy where he's at being an artist who debuts and number one and reaches Gold eventually. Nothing wrong with that. He maybe hotter in the streets but he isn't and never has been bigger thatn Jeezy. Jeezy was selling two time platinums and had the industry on fire. But Ross done did his thing for like 6 years now. And his discography can arguably compete with anyone as for as consistency. Nothing wrong with knowing ur land and sticking to it.

How did it hurt him when he had the highest debut ever of his career?

THIS. how nikka's going to say jeezy outsold him? ross in pace to outsell jeezy, and in less time. ross just dropped his album. jeezy been out for almost a year. as for anything else??? ross haters are fukking weirdos. nikka the reason he ain't superstar level is cuz he make music for nikkas in the street. most street nikkas don't buy cds. ross ain't making music to chill with your white boy friends and pass the bong around. :laff:

Feminity. Point blank Ross has one target audience: African American males. Bonus points if you from the hood.

90% of his music is hyper masculine music about power, money and domination. Other topics (The typical party anthem, the typical simp anthem etc) are usually afterthoughts on a Ross project.

Seriously, check each project. For every Diced Pineapples there's a trio of songs like 911, Hold Me Back, Pirates, Ten Jesus Pieces etc.

As a masculine man, I can fukk with that ratio. Ross music just get's my adrenaline flowing. :manny: I dunno if it's the awesome adlibs, the amazing beats, his powerful delivery or that he's surpassed :takedat: in shyt talking ability. And GFID he really stepped up his lyrical ability and flows.

It also doesn't help when he shyts on the other demographics who isn't in his target audience. I was like :gladbron: when he was takin shots on white folks on GFID.

Excellent non biased response. I can fukk wit that :myman:

I thought i was the only one who noticed how he was shytting on white folks on this album.. nikka really didn't give a fukk on that last verse of Amsterdam :whew:

Man these fukkin ross haters kill me with these threads Nobody cares about sales man. I swear theyre so delusional. Artists dont get shyt off sales. The record companies make the big bucks. Ross can make 100k a show and do other bisness ventures. WTF would this nikka be worried about sales. The only thing ross is lacking to get sales is a huge white fan base. Be real. The only reason jeezy can sale more than ross is cause he has a bigger white fan base. Ive been to jeezy shows and ross shows so I know . Ross aint no wack ngga and hes proven it time after time. SO nikkas need to chill. Ross is above average AT WILL AND WHEN HE WANTS TO BE. And ross got a shyt ton of tracks where he either shows emotion or tells a story

pirates
Tears of joy
mafia music
mafia music 2
freemason
pirates
ashamed
ice cold
hold me back
its my time
pray for me
ambition
all the money in the world
live fast die young
amsterdam
sweet life
mecca of the trill
holy ghost
magnificent
usual suspects
maybach music 3

And i guarantee you the same nikka talking out their ass's are the same ones who aint even heard a 4th of these tracks yet still they think they can critique ross shyt. Ross has variance and hes proven it. The only thing i wish ross would show more is consistency. He'll spit some hard lyrical shyt ona track like pirates, usual suspects, tears of joy,etc . Then he'll turn around and do a track like "911". What happens is the anti-ross stans hold ross accountable and make judgements based off tracks like this but they completely ignore the meaningful ross tracks like i named in the list. Ross has the lyrical skill and his beat selection is some of the best. Matter of fact ross is the one who put justice league n the map and they admitted it. Now you got a shyt ton of rappers tying to copy ross's musical production formula. Ross is lyrically above average when he actually tries. He just not consistent at it like his was like in 08-11. He saves his best bars for big projects because hes on so many tracks from stalley, meek, wale projects as well as other colabs. Its a smart move to save your best. Just look at how he does when hes on a nas track.
