I see people are serious just listing qualities to be listing them without anything to back it up. If Ross lacks in all these areas, then they don't seem to be hurting him by any measure. Furthermore, a lot of the qualities that are being listed has never stopped an artist from having a successful career before.

:stopitslime: answer the question he's not hurting but he's pushed more than most star rappers without the results to back it up and people want to know why .jeezy was suppposedly irrelevant but still sold more Ross bragging about no pushbacks, bigging up him as the new biggie, rolling stone cover ,making big deals about his listening party and can't outsell jeezy ?? :ohhh:

My Pops Forever RIP
A demographic that actually buys records. That's the thing that keeps him from the Drake's, Jay-Z's, Nicki Minaj's (don't look now, but she's gonna wind up doing a mil off that Roman Reloaded shyt), T.I.'s. Ross hasn't made that single that blew up everywhere. He's made songs that took over the streets, the clubs, the house parties, but Ross doesn't have that one song that EVERYBODY knows. He's in that phase T.I. was in between Trap Muzik and Urban Legend. Ross doesn't have a Bring 'Em Out in his catalog yet and he won't if he keep placating to the streets on singles. The closest he came was that So High joint with Ne-Yo

I'm a Jeezy fan, but does he have a single that EVERYBODY knows?

I understand he doesn't have that Starships, Empire state of mind etc

what's a Trak that everybody knows by Drake though? take Care?

see, this is where you fukk up your argument. objectively, on an album by album basis, ross has sold less than jeezy. no one is disputing this, but he's a much better artist who's branded himself so successfully that he's aided the release of other artists.

ross is the reason wale was able to reinvent himself and overcome the utter failure of his debut release. ross is the reason both self-made 1 and self-made 2 did respectable numbers, in spite of being group albums. ross is the reason any mixtape by him will do platinum numbers on any mixtape site they're located.

with that kind of brand appeal, the number of units he's moving is immaterial. the nikka's eating more than any artist in the game at the moment. all that money he talks about is real. the nikka's movement is inspiring, when you know the history of his grind. nikka been in it for a minute, connecting and networking so that he's in a position to be a real boss.

what has jeezy done that's comparable? gibbs is a nobody. tm103 is jeezy's worst selling album. not coincidentally, it's also his worst sounding album. musically, jeezy is trapped in the past, while ross has managed to keep his sound fresh.

next up? meek mill. i'm becoming a fan. thought he was repetitive, which he was. but you can tell ross is coaching this dude and molding him into a star. he's next up. all because of ross. so at the end of the day, all this talk about ross not living up to the hype is a bunch of bullshyt. nikka's movement is the best at the moment.

A big transcendent hit record...all that other stuff y'all mentioning is :pachaha:, worthless messegeboard rhetoric "authenticity" and "depth" ain't selling records

GFID is the biggest debut of his career despite having the weakest single rollout he's had so far for the lead in of his albums...if he had a huge hit single with a Hard Knock Life, In The Club, Lollipop, etc. type of impact he prolly would've made a bigger jump than he did and ascended to the platinum club with this album...but no dice...

You literally sound dumb as fukk, did this nygga say his lack of authenticity and depth has nothing to do with his sells, lmao. Then this nygga said Ross is lacking a big single, eventhough the nygga has been all over the radio for the last 3 years. Damn, smh at you young dumb nyggas. Soooooooooo, whats the excuse for when he had the big singles????????

Nyggas nor crackers respect Ross as a person or as an artist, why, cause as an artist he can rap, but as dude says, he has no depth. The nygga talks about the exact same shyt on EVERY SINGLE TRACK, I mean, there is not 1 song in the Ross catalog that comes off as a track from the heart, why, cause Rick Ross is a created character. William Roberts dont even know who the fukk Rick Ross is lol. If the nygga made some tracks from the perspective of William Roberts he might actually attract more than lil kids and white boys. The hood bumps Ross, but aint no nyggas bout to spend no bread on this fake ass nygga. I can tell you nyggas aint from the hood, if you let a nygga lie to your face on some "you are stupid enough to believe me so im playing you like a damn fool" type of shyt, you mean to tell me that you would go out and support a nygga who is basically trying to fool you. Fukk outta here, Ross does not sell major cause nobody respects him, flat out.

He has to be the 1st nygga ever to dominate the radio and constantly gets outsold by nyggas with nothing on the airwaves. LMAO, you nyggas better wake the fukk up and tell ya boy to be William Roberts for 2-3 tracks per album.

LMAO, this nygga actually thinks Ross is worth 100 mill. Damn you lil nyggas are the most gullible nyggas ever created. How the fukk did nyggas breed a weak ass era like this, I dont know.

I really dont fukk with none of these "movements", but you are a damn fool to think that MMG is above Good Music or Roc Nation, uhhhhhhhh, you know, the 2 labels with artists that actually overachieve/does what was expected.

nikka, look at the forbes top rappers. where the fukk is jeezy? ross in the top 10. if ross is so fake, why do all the thorough dope boy nikkas in rap fukk with him? when nikkas are uncovered, people stop fukking with them. nobody did that with ross.
