Exactly, that Marsha album was super dope to me I just think it probably doesn't match the expectations that many have of Dre from when he was in his prime; furthermore, there will be many Dre fans from back in the day who have most probably not even heard it.
I think it's important for all Hip Hop fans to accept change and growth in our favourite artists. Dre has been active for like 40+ years which is incredible. Back in the day there are not many who would have thought that a career like that in Hip Hop would be possible. So I think it's great that he's active and still putting out quality music because it's not like he has to.
Facts.
I see a lot of people saying Dre hasn't done anything dope lately, who haven't even heard the Marsha project. If you listen to that and compare it to what he was doing on Truth Hurts' first joint, you can see that he's definitely more advanced now with his techniques for R&B. He's stepped it up crazy.
Like you said, he's been at it for a few decades, he's not going to stay in the same place. Lord Finesse recently said that the expectations for Dre are so high, that there's almost no way for him to stop putting the pressure on himself to top the classics he's already done. No matter what he does now, people are gonna have an issue with it. That's why we haven't seen
Detox.
