What is Agallah's life story? Breh was making beats for Parrish Smith in the 90s then became a Jim Jones flunky in the 2000s?

nikka who gives a fukk about Agallah? I can't think of anybody less worthy of a documentary. A Jason steed documentary is more worthwhile than a damn Agallah doc like are we really playing this game coli?

In the 90's, he got a lot of respect and love for his beats.

He's always been dope on production. Had a string of bad deals that killed his momentum as an artist, but those who know, know he has a nice amount of classics under his belt. His work with Onyx will forever be dope to me. I was kinda mad that he didn't have the same involvement on their third album. His sound back then was perfect for them.

I read in am interview that he more or less taught them Onyx cats how to rhyme properly (structure etc)

Oh wow, so it was Onyx who were rapping like Agallah weed carriers and not the other way around?

He's sounding mad aggressive on a "for the ladies" track :russ: rhyming like an Onyx reject.

That Elektra Entertainment® vignette was dope.

right?!:russ:

sign of the times

it goes to show you how once a trend or style is set, there are very few leaders but a lot of followers :lolbron:

beat and chorus was cool, the voice and his theatrics are laughable
Listen to him talk for 30 seconds, that's just how he sounds.

Also, he did one of the illest beats ever that doesn't get recognized

Talented & passionate dude. He initially made his name freestyle battling and made unsigned hype in the Source. If you ask me he's just not "cool" enough to be a rapper. Most of his bars are basic, as if he freestyled them. I have idea what stopped him from scaling up as a producer because his skill in that area was undeniable.

8-Off/Agallah was unsigned hype in the Source back in the day. First he was running with YZ, then solo, then he was working with Onyx, then PMD, then Dipset/Purple City then Sean P.
