What if Nas & Andre 3000 did their own version of Watch The Throne?

It's not about beat selection, it's about the MC being comfortable with and fitting the beat. Listening to Life is Good, nothing screams "I could picture 3 stacks on this" and vice versa when it comes to Outkast albums. I also don't think Nas would push Andre. They're not on the same wavelength, imo as just an observer. Dre's an eccentric dude. Him working with Frank Ocean made a ton of sense cause Frank writes just like he does; abstract and saying simple things in complicated ways.

Besides K.R.I.T, cats will laugh at this, I think Snoop would be a better fit with Andre. Yeah, he obviously wouldn't be anywhere near matching him lyrically, but I think the finished product would be better musically. I could see Kendrick Lamar melding with Dre too. Both have unique voices and deliveries. Kendrick harmonizes every now and then and he has that abstract quality to his shyt sometimes. But I can't think of an East coast MC right now that would fit seamlessly with Andre's style.

Mos Def?

No disrespect to Andre but I would want a

Nas/Common
Nas/Az
Nas/Ross
Nas/Game

album before Nas/Dre. They haven't really collab besides that You remix and I just don't know if they have chemistry to carry an entire album. I think its possible but with the collabs I listed at least they work well together. Who would handle the production?

see I think you are overthinking this....

how many times have you heard Dre on something regardless of the beat and u say "wow, Dre funked the song up" if you are honest, never really

from John Legend to Rick Ross....a real seasoned MC such as Dre or Nas can adapt to their surroundings.
You're confusing who I'm questioning when it comes to making the collaboration work.

:myman: That would be heaven... Andre 3000 and Mos Def. Neither has a voice or delivery that would dominate the other, both can harmonize, both have rhymed over a variety of beats and instrumentation, and they're both on some abstract shyt.

I really think Dre/Nas would be the better duo..I respect your opinion however. My reason in saying this is the are cut from the same cloth.

and they really like to 'go out' there musically and in their rhymes. They aren't your typical material mc's. Both are equally 'nasty' on the mic and very much respected.

I agree with everything you said except "they really like to 'go out' there musically and in their rhymes". I'm not gonna elaborate cause I'm not trying to get stoned to death, but Andre is way more "out there" than Nas imo. That's not saying Andre is better. :damn: But more than that I just don't think these two artists would sound right having one of their verses right after the other's. Have any of y'all listened to a Nas album and right after said, I wanna listen to Outkast now or vice versa? I have both their discographies and have never thought that. But honestly, if they ever just did a real track together I might be the first one upping this thread giving you props for the idea cause the track was so good, who knows :yeshrug:

1. Andre has not even released his own album.
2. They are not on no damn throne
3. Do they even have the chemistry, or is it just two random top 5 rappers.

Why not Ghostface Killah or Eminem? Why not just use a generator and generate duos?

There has to be a reason for a collabo, more than them just being 2 great artists.

As of today, Ross and Nas would be dope. Even though all the songs they've made is the two least gangsta nikkas in the game acting the most gangsta of all time. And most of the joints are vertically the same song. Can't lie though it's the same song, but both dudes fukking murked it.

when did ghost become top 5 tho
