:ohhh:

When u constantly say real shyt everyone isn't always going to be happy about what you say. This ain't no afterschool special b, I ain't here to please you nikkas.

That's just a casualty of being a real nikka tho :ld:

Andre 3000 is a weirdo fakkit who is only known for Hey Ya and dancing around in a long Indian wig like a sambo at the grammys, Don't ever disrespect the God Nas by suggesting they should do a collabo album.

Aqemini and Atliens are dope albums but pale in comparison to classics like The Chronic, Reasonable Doubt, Illmatic, Infamous, Only Built for Cuban Linx etc. Outkast as a group is overrated as fuk. When was the last time they dropped a dope LP?

The Andre 3000 obsession is just another example of southern cats being amazed by an articulate emcee who doesn't sound like the typical mush mouth southern bamma. On some "Oh shyt, that nikka can read massa" shyt :krs:

Jay Electronica's rise is another example of this. If both these cats were from the East no one would care about them.....its the Jeremy Lin syndrome.

Album would get cats hype in anticipation but would turn out to probably be a huge disappointment. They don't gel stylistically at all. Their beat selection would have one of them out of their comfort zone on each track depending on who chose the beat. And what would be the overall theme of the album? Dre is much more abstract and roundabout with his shyt than Nas. Their deliveries would clash.

Nas and Ross work so well cause Nas takes care of whatever the theme of the song is and Ross just flows to the beat saying whatever. Ross' voice and delivery is closer to Nas'. Besides Big Boi or Cee-Lo, I honestly think K.R.I.T would be the best match for 3000, especially if he handled the production.

I couldn't disagree more here....Andre is masterful when he produces. when Nas isn't into one of his 'thinking' modes..he picks great beats(Life is good)

I think all real hiphop heads would love to hear a Nas/Dre album....they would push each other musically....true lyricist from diff sides of the map

The majority of collab albums are.
And these hypothetical threads are pointless. This will never happen.

I swear 3000 has got to be the most overrated rapper on SOHH and now here too I guess. Never understood what was so great about him and I'm an Outkast fan from the beginning. He's decent but I def don't put him on a pedestal.

It's not about beat selection, it's about the MC being comfortable with and fitting the beat. Listening to Life is Good, nothing screams "I could picture 3 stacks on this" and vice versa when it comes to Outkast albums. I also don't think Nas would push Andre. They're not on the same wavelength, imo as just an observer. Dre's an eccentric dude. Him working with Frank Ocean made a ton of sense cause Frank writes just like he does; abstract and saying simple things in complicated ways.

Besides K.R.I.T, cats will laugh at this, I think Snoop would be a better fit with Andre. Yeah, he obviously wouldn't be anywhere near matching him lyrically, but I think the finished product would be better musically. I could see Kendrick Lamar melding with Dre too. Both have unique voices and deliveries. Kendrick harmonizes every now and then and he has that abstract quality to his shyt sometimes. But I can't think of an East coast MC right now that would fit seamlessly with Andre's style.

see I think you are overthinking this....

how many times have you heard Dre on something regardless of the beat and u say "wow, Dre funked the song up" if you are honest, never really

from John Legend to Rick Ross....a real seasoned MC such as Dre or Nas can adapt to their surroundings.

Neither one of those rappers are on top of the rap game. Id still listen to the album as long as Andre didnt have any guitar solos.
